I thought of a way to reduce pilot kills.

Does anyone remember Aces over Europe? Well, in the game, if the pilot gets shot, he is INJURED and slowly loses conciousness BUT he can still fly for a little while (couple of minutes). They simulate the injuries by having him black out slightly repeatedly.

I strongly recommend everyone to download the game (it's old and small) and observe that feature.

I hope PK isn't something "set" in IEN's WB's.... :dunno:

    Just an idea

Then there is an alternate method of forcing one's attention on one's pilot my young son found!:

He downloaded these sounds see? For My CFS game (MS Combat Flight "Simulator")...
When a pilot was hit, he would start groaning. OR he would scream. Or beg for his mother, depending on how many bullets or something hit him......
There were splats of indescribable yucchiness on the windshield (the default effect was little bullet holes there).
Well, it was ghastly. Neither of us could stand the blood curdling screams and the groans? Well, they would make a veteran of true horrors shrivel.....

And, believe me, with MY skills as a dogfighter, there was a LOT of stuff on my windscreen and screams from my BIG BIG speakers.......

    (still give me goose bumps!!)

If my shots could result in someone's speakers shrieking and scaring the SHIT out of him, I would rest content. Hehe.

Pilot can be wounded in WB - at least it could in 2.70. You then had maybe 5 minutes before you bled to death.

Maybe some input from the developers? Can anyone let them know about this, please?

I think with all ditches counted as kills we could have injury option back with no problem.

Otherwise battleditching would piss many people off.

Im all for bringing back injuries.
I liked it. With random effect it would be best. Sometimes direct PK sometimes wound up to 10minutes.

    IMHO

IMHO, It will more realistic if after "pilot hit" pilot has some percents to die (depend on bullet) and all other percents to loose (vator or aelerons or something else including guns) something like we loose control surfaces after hit to motor from p39's 37mm.

    Pilots-

    About 2.70 and PKs

Yeah. ...at least with the 2.70 Java Free host you could wound the pilot... :turret: sometimes more than once... some times it just killed him. :dark:
