No - your Streak remains in case of disco.

And today maybe resets because of big scenario in TA

    it was proxy problem.

disco = death when you have life limit.

    Mmmmmmm.....

    Not making any accusations, but....

....this certainly explains the increasing number of "disco deaths" or Alt-F4's I have been seeing lately.

I know the connections are not real reliable for some people, but there seems to be more and more of

    HOST: Someone leaves
HOST: Someone was killed by Anyone
    HOST: Someone enters room

Could be wrong but to be able to keep streak this way certainly makes sense.

Someone, please don't take this as a personal flame.

    Regards, Oz

I thought that disco is not a death if you
have taken no hits (just as it should be),
but it is a death if you have taken damage.

    Am I wrong???
What kind of dmg is enough for a disco death?

(one time way back I landed with hwy dmg and was
almost stopped when I discoed and lost my (short) streak, LOL)

its a limit on your lives ;)

if you have taken no dmg you are not considered killed.
its hard to say amount of damage necessary. IMHO its somewhere in between loosing an aileron and loosing a wing :p

It includes also the flaps losses?I have lost a streak due to disco after loose my flaps...Imho flaps are not so important to be considered a kill...:dunno: Maybe some things should be fixed...just an idea.

    i didnt design gunnery
but you must have taken many hits (tho only dmg was flaps). that was enough to make it a kill.
well.. thats an issue for FH developers, not me ;)

    Concerning today's mega-disco ;)
I wonder how many pilots lost their streak after this incident
Well, here's an idea about killing pilot in damaged planes - how about concidering a disco as a bail ? If u were in enemy territory - sorry, u're dead (or captured, but that's not too important) . If happened in friendly territory - count as bail and let him save his streak.
It could be abused only in one way - someone too low to bail and unable to ditch (say, lost wing). It's possible to check alt of plane above ground - if less then 200m (about this is where chute starts failing) then dead. Hardly ever pilot is able to recover after some fatal malfunction (disco is quite a random thing and may be considered as some random malfunction, which we lack on this server :) )
I guess it's the best way to handle discos, all we need is implementation :D

    Now ? Yes :)
As long as you don't have any damage, you can safely press alt+f4 and it will be counted as disco - kills counted, streak safe, but I guess no points.
That's how it's working now :dura:

    Hello Guys,

i hate loosing Streak by disco.

One week ago i recieved some hits without damage and 5 minutes later i had Disco near my own Field and lost my Streak.

But i think, we have to live with that.

If we change this, too many people will hit alt-f4 to escape, if they have a con on 6 with no chance to survive.

There are too many people, doing this today and the number will increase, if we do not have to care about our streak.

I saw many buffs, dissapearing after a successfull bomb-run with me on her 6. They save their streak, without gaining points and i look in the clear blue sky without getting my kill :-(

It seems that loosing streak after recieving hits is the best compromise.

    Cu Flubby
