I tried to use the little cousin of 3D smax too, but as ramzey sayd, Gmax has ben programmed for create 3D meches and structures for few games, there's no way to export 3D works in any other way.. I used it for CFS2, design structures of UT only
yeap, i try gmax half year ago. For extract u need special tools Gmax SDK , all is writed on gmax site. So u can forget about modeling in gmax if u not create planes for MS CFS or MS FS. No chance to export your model to any other 3d editor ramzey
oh yeah: and here is a lopolygon model for testing purposes (a new game will be released soon ) question: how many polygons it has? question2: how many ur models have? (spaceb dont bother to answer pls )
My turn.. Modeling for flightsim Strike Fighters: Project 1 by Thirdwire. Aircraft: Embraer AMX monoplace (aka "Pocket Tornado") Polygons: 4800. Project on hold... lack of time and patience with some ingame bugs. Ingame images: Better we stop, it is already waaay off topic.
negative on no export from gmax convert to quake3 mesh (module downloadable from discreet) and then to almost anything via deep exploration (downloadable 30 trial version)
spuint...at the first glance, check the canopy construction(lower parts), air intake,cowling and rear fuselage length with a proper angle towards the canopy... model is ok, but needs a few parts of course PS. if u need any help with 109's just tell me
made some more parts, but i guess u wont see them on my avatar ill post when its finished completely; thx 4 advices HJM, but pls polish with details and i will not be able to make too many details, need to lookout with polygons to make game running slightly; btw, ebola how many polygons Urs model has? very nice as for the game, its just a start, so we r not sure what is it going to be and how it will look like (nice4sure ) when finished; there r too many things to be done, hardest will be flight physics, but maybe we will make some arcade game for start and sim later; any help and advices would be nice
