    A scaled-down P-38 kit plane using GM V-8 motors?????

    Where do I sign-up?


    I looked and haven't found any news since 2008.. did they die ?

    Yep, only fitting! The V12s were GM engines too. Not sure there is a big demand for those right now. Once BHO was assigned, things started going downhill in the economy. :dunno:

    Yes, back in the good 'ole days when Allison was a division of GM.

    I just wonder if they're using the new all alloy V-8 blocks; LS7.

    I'd convert to single plane crankshafts too.

    I suppose the costs would go exponential if they were to convert the BMW V-12s to aero-specs....

    .... and going to turbo props would just not be right either.

    Of course there's nothing that sounds better than a V-12 cranking over.

    Other than a big radial.. ha ha ha.
