Maurice "The Rocket" Richard
Pronounced
Mo Reese Ree Shard
or Da Rockette

From some talk-talk on the CBC:
Not an outstanding stick-handler or skater, he excelled through sheer force of will.
Which fight? Fuck. Lots of them. He would sword fight with the stick. He punched referees. He would charge across the ice and nail some fucker who either was looking or wasn't looking, it didn't seem to matter.
He didn't like to be teased by fans. He was pretty thin skinned. So fans [in Boston] could easily get him riled up enough to beat someone up and get thrown out of the game.

And yeah, I am still forced to sit and pretend to cheer or pretend to groan. I have to listen and look at the other people watching to know when to do what.
But when I see The Rocket in old film clips, I have to stand at attention. With everyone else. It is like a religious thing or some twisted fucked wierd patriotism.
Thing.

This guy retired when I was a year old [two years old?].
All through my childhood I was assaulted by talk of him. He was godlike.
I didn't give a shit about ice hockey. I had to watch it on the tv or listen to it on the radio in the same way a child who is an athiest has to hold his tongue, go to church with everyone else and pretend.
Well, the kid being forced to go to church has it much worse, because of the guilt, confessing something, anything, jeez, what did I do that was wrong? I guess I better make something up. Fuck.
And sodomy.

Anyway, I heard about
The Montreal Riot.
Pronunced
or Da Moan Rayal Rye Ott.

Was famous.

Never mind the fight that started the riot. It didn't seem like much. But there aren't twenty five cameras angles in those old filmed games. Can't tell, really.
Rocket Richard was fucking crazy. They say he had this look. He would look right through you, as if you weren't there. He would then skate right through you, as if you weren't there.

You know, a hockey player has to be good if children who DESPISED the game never forgot him.
Oh hell, that is probably SO WRONG. Guys who hated church as children still remember their prayers

and sodomy....

worst hockey fight:

When i was a kid, back in the 70's or possibly early 80's, there was an NHL hockey game on TV and a fight broke out. It got worse. then it got worse. And basically every player was brawling. usualy these guys punch each other out after a few minutes, they just hold on to each other and then the referees move in. But this fight was diferent.

It just went on and on. Then, For the first time, and only time in my life,

I SAW THE COPS come on to the ice. The cops were not wearing skates. wearing shoes on the ice. telling people, " you stop or you go to jail" kinda thing.

was this the montreal riot? i dont know which teams were playing but it was definately out of control. was a big fight from back in the 70's i think, long long time a go. I was a kid in pajamas. still had a 12" cock, lol
