    exec, dont be discouraged so fast :)
    as i said earlier (and as u and rbull admitted) there were some mistakes;
    experience is most important to command large forces and i think u shouldnt be fed up with CO role, as it will get only better now;
    there is much sense in what u said about laziness, but do not trouble with that; thats not important for u; it will only effect in overall achievemnts;
    u should only command and organize, let ur forces to fill their tasks (and they are the ones who actually are responsible for them);

    to make it clear - i totally agree with snake - i think u should organize in precise command structure chain:
    1. channels 100, 101, 103 are kept in absolute silence; private talkin is allowed only in p2p mode,
    2. principal talks only to his direct subordinate and subordinate talks only to his direct principal:
    - all pilots are allowed to talk only on squad channels, they communicate with higher principalns only through squad leader,
    - squad leader communicate only with wing leader,
    - wing leader communicate with CO.

    (i think this structure was used.. but it wasnt so restricted.. while keepin it restricted will help keep order;
    this will also throw more responsibility on the squad and wing leader' shoulders and will effect in more flexible and interesting scenarios;
    it may be risky only if wrong ppl will lead squads and wings - so maybe some sort system of rewards/penalties should be introduced? [-executed only on chain structure level, ie. squad leader watch his man and assign/unassign direct formation leaders, wing leader watch sq leaders etc])

    3. frame is opened after all forces are ready (pilots report rdy to sq-leader, sq-leader report squad ready to wing-leader, wing-leader report wing ready to CO);
    when both COs agree for frame start they do not interfere stream of occurencies and react only when some aspects are met (enemy entered radar space=scramble; enemy changes direction=new heading);
    COs do not react on problems of the other side, they only adjust commands to help their man fulfill their mission in dependence of current conditions on arena;

    of course when some sort of bug is encoutered (like spawn bug on f19) frame start should be stopped and reinitialized;

    i suppose the main idea was close to what ive just wrote here..
    but keepin it more restricted will effect in better order

    ps ill write some more ;)
    ps2 exec, rbull - were countin on u guys;

    Hi Redbull,

    >5. Im happy that Ho-Hun afraids about LW "blood bath" due to less fighters has showed as unjustified.

    I'm just as happy I was wrong :)

    However, I haven't seen the final bodycount yet, and I suspect the technical and organizational difficulties helped the Luftwaffe quite a bit.

    I think Pietas' suggestion to offer several targets to split up both attackers and defenders is a good idea, especially as it also gives the attacker a degree of tactical flexibility making non-kamikaze missions possible.

    And I consider the scenario a success - I've organized some, too, and I know what REAL failure looks like =8-O

    Regards,

    Henning (HoHun)

    no chances on buggy server.
    in ienwb, only radio 1 can be tuned to non100 channel.
    groups can use non100 (say 18), but it means that group LEADERS won't be able to communicate with each others. player cannot tune to TWO different non100 channels at the same time. the only non-buggy channels are 100-104.
    that's why communication doctrine intended to use 110.
    and that's why actual situation made us to use 103 as intersquad channel.

    that again shows ignorance. as you can see, briefing clearly required "ZG26", "StG77", "JG27" and "2JG27".
    "2.JG26" or "II/JG26" is some kind of improvisation.

    briefing meant enough airspace for avoiding 32bug. groups should be separated in time. and you know why they could not be separated by route.

    i don't know enough good commanders. at least from pilots that took part in bob1.
    from fighters i only remember bart, glas and cbfs who carried out tasks well. also probably pietas, but if he went right, he did it in silence. and i was not in air to witness, only at radio.

    on the other hand, baksto, hardy, stefan, mmx (i.e. striking commanders) everything did correctly, though attackers did not survive.
    it was fighters who failed luftwaffe.

    and again, my error is believing in fighters.
    main arena don't encourage escorts, therefore players have no escorting culture at all.
    i seen many scenarios where many experienced aces did not handled escorting tasks. what can we expect from conventional pilots?

    Unfortunately I can't participate at scenario, but I have to notice the really big work had done on scenario realization.

    Big WTG for Maletin and Rbull for creation of such good registration system and http://fhscenarios.jinak.cz/ scenario site.

    FH are on the way to make scenarios more historical, more realistic, more disciplined and.. really more funny.

    Thank you for the work you had done for us.

    Tigrou I think if both sides will organise tactic for them selves it will finish with huge furrbal and 128+bug.

    Exec, it's you choice. U prefer clear communication with just a few commanders (who usually are experienced and can handle a lot) and massive chaos on every channel from horde of regular pilots ("send me invitation", "give me radio channel for my sq", "am I play dad?")

    Not an ignorance. 2.JG27 has 4 units: "hvy escort", "light escort", "sweep", and something else. JG27 was the same. Also bombers were "hvy & light".
    Every (hvy, light, escort, sweep) has own CO.
    Its not clear, I was wondering a lot while trying to understand idea, and the plan.
    IMO next time better could be 2JG27/1 , 2JG27/2 , 2JG27/3 2JG27/4.
    At least more clear and no question where is my sq and what to do.
    Coz could be "2JG27/1 sweep" but the "/1" makes it 100% clear.

    IMO there always be something what will break or change the briefing more or less. Fog of war. Human mistakes. Pracitce against theory.
    It's not a real problem, it happends.
    Otherwise - major problem is briefing : gives only 3 min mistake limit and entire fun is gone.
    Few mins it's nothing EXEC if u have 70 ppl on the host.
    Better choice is to increase operational area.
    Coz IMO.

    @ pikkot: but with flight restrictions, aera of fight, missions to complete,perhaps..not :) btw,on a single main tgt, how not falling in furball?

    all this makes me wonder: bob scenario is first a chalenge or an historical flight? if chalenge, both side must not share info about tactics,no?

    anyway, when the next frame? :flyer:
