    Bar is directly taken from F4F cockpit.

    adjust screen brightness...it has detail which matches other frames used in this pit.

    hi folks,
    back from holiday, nice to see all that progress, wtg.

    12oclock view looks pretty good.

    few notes to the 10.5 view:

    the dashboard looks collapsed leftwards, gauges are not "round". i know its a hard to give them proper shape.
    wont there be a problem with indicator needles?

    the leftmost bar is IMHO too much to the right. it either shouldnt be there or should be on the very left side of the screen. on the other hand it compensates the 130° to 90° AOV reduction. the pit would look empty w/o it. (guess this was your intention)

    nice idea with the out-ordered slip indicator :cool:

    once again good work and WTG :)

    Yes most of things you mentioned are because of 90 degree FOV. Left side of view is directly to the left. (so bar is there) right side is directly to flying direction.

    This gives you idea how things bend because of view.

    This is directly from f6f with some modifications. I think I have to use another bar for "left back"....in this stock version FOV it looks imho even too bended.[edit] nah...i will just move it 1cm to the left[/edit] (I'll have to see what rear view looks first...)

    Here additional 12high experiments.

    Gunsight half visible...correct for 90degree fov. Top of normal 12 view ends at center of high 12 view.

    Nah..dont like this POW seems too low.
    better to have pilot not bended to aim...like above.

    Do you like this better?

    Remember that right side edge of picture shows 90 degrees right from 12 position. Directly to the side.

    Concerning this right FOV any suggestions?

    I'd suggest for 12h high something like this (yeah, 5min drawing :D):

    But again rafael..
    problem is that topside of screen is directly up. If it was like that frame would be bended backwards.

    I mean that if you look at top side of screen you will see 90 degrees. DIRECTLY UP. That means you will see profile of each bar differently as they come closer to you. At directly above you bar would be seemingly just straight line.

    Bar doesnt look like it is above you. It looks bended. It looks like bar is in front of you. It doesnt follow dimensions of 90 degree FOV. It seems like 45degree FOV view from position about 30cm behind bar.

    @rafael:
    itd work if your head pushed very very backwards w/ 45° AOV ;)

    @illo:
    better :) (the old one wouldnt mind)

    not so hot :). positions where it should be IMHO. its very tricky to use feelings. such 90° AOV to-plane projection is very unfamiliar to human eye. youd have to have your face 10cms off screen to see it properly. ;)

    front frame good, same for top one.
