Alright kids... Since datel- is working on the 3D model and I got some spare time, I tried to start building a Brewster pit... from scratch. But I'm not sure if it is gonna be added by FH Team.. will they add your model to FH, datel? Anyway... that is what comes after 30min playing in Photoshop... very rough... still much to do (mostly add gauges and gauges), but it is going easily and troubleless... until when..? I'm asking for some specific pics of this pit. I have about 4 or 5 of the dash panel, but I don't have one showing the canopy and windscreen bars from inside.. and I have no pics for back view either... if anyone has it, please attach it here... BTW, a last request: anyone has got a color "profile" for the panel? I 'don't know what should be red, yellow or green. EDIT: LOL, sorry guys, I used the earliest picture... really bad.. the picture I meant to show was this one in next post.
if possible, try to leave as few stuff as possible under the radio bar - 2d has plain black, not transparant radio buffer. but wtg!! a little bit here, a little bit there, and we will have brewser in FH!
Ill look for rear view. From this page you can find quite many pics, i posted about all useful below. http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/
Best inside cockpit view to help arrange window frames and gauges. (note frame at left behing the glass) Must see!!! http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/bw_cockpit1.gif Here front window and cockpit panel position from side. http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/B-239_complete.gif Here you can see the arrangement of cockpit glasses well from above. http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/BW354.gif Side windows. http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/HMMTPM2.jpg here very rough scetch of some instrument and frame positioning. (instruments still seem too small or too far away from eachother. Altough cockpit needs to be pushed downwards to get gunsight in center of view and thiss will result less space for gauges which will then look just right imho. Btw. Shouldnt instrument panel be black in color? Close up on istrument panel. http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/bw_cockpit2.gif
Seems like in my scetch front window frames are still slightly too far away from eachother. You can see that frame starts behind "block" on right side of cockpit.
This pic shows side frames best imho. http://www.il2center.com/Reference/Bulk/Finland Brewster Fighter/bw_assembly_side.gif This might help you on rear view. http://koti.mbnet.fi/~jjuvonen/malli-index_frames.html Seat is quite thin, bare metal with square black headrest seat continues above headrest to provide armor protection for pilot. Rear cockpit "floor" seems metal too(i doubt it should be painted). With 2 bars supporting armored seat. There is loop antenna in midle of floor.
why do almost all planes have that thing right under the gunsight? that thing that looks like.. umm.. leather? whats it for?
rough 3d model of cockpit hi rafael (no comment) ...(long pause of silence) i havent asked yet ... HOPE THEY WILL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BTW would a "rough-3d-model-of-buffalo-pit" (mainly the bars that hold perplex) help ya, man? as a 45degree-view pics? what do you say? with illos plans i get quite a precision heya -datel
Yes, they will add it. Question is just when. For both planes all FM data is needed. I've sent some on brewster (climb, speed etc.) many months ago. Hopefully I will get more data to back it up and comments about its flying charachteristics (high speed/dive, stall, roll rate) before FH team includes it. Good place to ask questions and get answers to FM issues is butchs forums. http://pub47.ezboard.com/fallboutwarfarefrm31
hi illo, some time ago, while browsing web, i found a scientific report of measuring a f2a in wind tunnel. its a pdf file about 40 A4 pages. lotta graphs and coefficients. might this help? i have it at home. i dont know already wherefrom i downloaded it. -datel
Hi Illo Thanks for the links. Will help a lot. yep, datel, they could help.. you can email it to me at: raf27@ieg.com.br Thanks guys! BTW, P-47C pit bug is fixed.. yeehaa !!!
umm...hi nicae. By carefully examining your post I did following notion... Are you trying to tell us something?
Hi guys, Ok, development update... instruments are done... now some weathering, and the bars and of course, the gunsite Illo, I dont have pics showing clearly its gunsight. btw, exec can I add all these instruments?
LOL!! That was scary I didn't know the chat buffer would be so big. Looks like I'll have to resize it... heh.. some of you will need glasses to read the instruments.
