    Panowie nie róbcie sobie jaj ... serce F.Chopina spoczywa w kościele Świętego Krzyża, ale w Warszawie przy Krakowskim Przedmieściu.

    Hey Haupt, sorry for my friends above but they are not right.
    Chopins heart rests in Kościół Świętego Krzyża (the Holly Cross Church) in Warsaw at Krakowskie Przedmieście street.

    Sry to ask...

    What was the films title -haupt?

    And what the Poles think about Chopin nowdays... hmm let me think- the right answer would be 90% couldn't name a single composition of Chopin ...over 90% think he was a great patriot and remember him best because of his romance with George Sand, old 5000Zloty banknotes (which imho were one of the prettiest among that edition) and vodka brand "Chopin" produced by Polmos (when it comes to that point- it's one of the best i've ever drank, but it's quite expensive).
    When it comes to my opinion about Chopins music... hmm... very light, traditionally inspired but it lacks "punch" (it's why i like Wagner so much).

    frog i don't want to start discussion about chopin cuz' methinks we both leak even basic knowledge bout' him, but must disagree...
    for me, chopin is master of painting scenes with music (but, of course, !!!IMO!!!)
    what's also important to me in his music is that many compositions comes from soft to end very "punchy" (as frog denied;)

    Heh

    Heh... BarT u're wrong (imho of course) and sorry to say that, but Pedzel is right. I'm not saying that Chopins work can (in any aspect) be compared to Disco Polo nowdays... but it was smth like that back in XIXth century. Music takes time to be seen as sth worth listening. Take Jazz 4 example- i was considered crap music back in 1920s and 1930... but now classic Jazz is considered as good as classic music.
    I was not attacking Chopin in my first post... i only said i consider it boring, and i don't like it very much (except piano concerts mb).
    And world is such a beatifull place, in which i can dislike any kind of music, and noone can tell me it's wrong, as long as i have my own opinion and live in democratic country:D

    classical music aint the most popular music nowadays... but whats the difference?
    listen what u like, let others listen what they like and everything is ok; Chopins music is pretty sad and nostalgic at most... and i have to have a mood for such music, otherwise i feel like driving a brand new car in slow traffic :D
    but its really great, when u listen to i it sometimes u feel like u know everything about him and like he knew everything about u; mb its silly but i see it that way;
