dude, twin keels have double durability.
what do you want more? triple? quadruple?

Regardless of which boom's hstab is hit, you won't be landing the plane anyway because the elevator and, for that matter, the hstab itself relies on being held properly on both ends and cannot function on just one.

I didn't know they had double durability. Thought durability was the same for single fuselage/vs twin boom design. But, that doesn't matter. The plague of losing both rudders or vstabs is always depressing when it happens. Just the lack of function isn't right. I'm surprised that they never considered that when creating WB.

Are you talking about cartoons, real life, WBFH, or some bad dream?

you mean you are not satisfied with the gift of using full keel/rudder when 50% of these are destroyed?

I would presume that all twin rudder aircraft DM have the same feature here, no?

In this sim? Ha ha ha... please tell it to all those guys playing with the Zeke that ran away from me in a Spit and they had one wing shot-off and the plane was on fire.

That plane was also running on one engine. Note the slight rudder correction. In WBFH, you'll be banking in short order. %) We'll see if this is fixed. :help:

I noticed that when losing both ailerons in flight, the Lagg3 will start rolling. It shouldn't in my view.

ok. one keel, me 410. structure 100pts, damaged 150pts. keel off, right?

two keels, p38. structure 200pts, damaged 150pts. both keels working, noone damaged, although should be only one working.

so you have two keels even when one must be destroyed.

    understood?

I'm not talking about scores or points. I'm talking about the situation when an item is damaged such as a rudder/vstab. Since there are two of them on many aircraft, if one is destroyed, one would be left to operate yet. To emulate that, cause rudder destroyed to behave the same as when only one aileron is destroyed, or one engine destroyed. Half effectiveness.

Right now, if rudder is hit and damaged enough, it breaks/falls off. If this happens on aircraft with two rudders, no consideration is made for the remaining rudder to function.
Right now, RFuel can be hit but, all fuel drains from all tanks.
Right now, if left gun in wing is hit, it disables left gun mounted on cfuselage as well.

I can understand if your hands are tied and you can't change these things because IEN has it locked. No biggie

You Russians and your obscure riddles.

So, you're saying that keel, as understood in the nautical terms as being a vertical stabilizer is going to be changed so that it is treated like a rudder instead and, that if one side is destroyed/damaged, will only effect it in reducing it's function rather than losing it completely? That's awesome. :D

keel is a sinonym for fin, vertical part of empennage. checked in dictionary.
    better than ien's vstab.

however, you have two rudders at the same time :)

    Keel/VStab
Yes, I knew that. But they are not the same.

    More specifically though....:znaika:
Keel: Fin protruding down only (boats, ships, aquatic life, other nautical craft) Located in the middle/rear, keeps craft upright.
Vertical Stab: Located at rear, most of fin protruding above craft (aircraft). Keeps craft longitudinal in axis and assists in lateral motion, unless you lose both vstabs in the P-38, B-24, B-25.
    :p

"vstab" or, "vertical stabilizer" is more accurate since it is more specific in function and placement. Keel is something you won't see on an airplane.

We use the term quite often, "keel over" as a representation of when someone dies or passed out. Like an upside down bug, if a boat is keeled over, it's a bad sign.
