    Those screens were made at almost same moment. Dot and river visible at 6 view are moved at rear-left view. It allows I16 and I15 pilots to see dots behind seat :)

    Is that some bug or emulation of put out head of the window ? ;)

    imho its uber russian plane :)

    Try compare FOV (field of view) from eg i16 cockpit and eg dora. How to compare? Log to TA move to any small field, select i16 or Dora, push fly and observe where is hangar.

    Some planes (prob. most are russians :p) have bigger FOV than others. This small diffrence give you oportunity to see more on your 6.

    there is NO difference in FOV - ALWAYS 90 degrees at once
    the only difference is that rear-left and rear-right views are obstructed by less cockpit graphics to simulate pilot looking out of open cockpit (only i16 and i153 have open cockpits in wb)

    jak ja lubie te wasze spiskowe teorie... :p

    huh?
    open cockpit means that there is no canopy, only front windshield, not that it can be opened inflight ;)

    well no pit is made well for 800x600, there is no such resolution in wb :p
    and sry, i haven't seen it in 640 so i can't comment ;)

    bubble canopy is better, there are no stuts to obstruct view and especially 12 o'clock view is way better. there isn't much difference in checking exactly 6 o'clock in wb thou, but since i almost don't use 6 view (got used to FB and use left/right-back-up instead), i hardly notice ;)

    compare pic1 to pic2, pic3 is pic1 + pic2 with diffrence filter, chceck hangar position. in La cockpit you see much bigger part of hung.

    IMO all planes should have reviewd six view. In most modern sim you can move your head in cocpit to have a better view in certain direction f.e aces high. Or like it is done in WB3 when pilot looks at his six it simullate head move over his shoulder so the view is much better then in Wb 2.x . This thing always pissed me off couse how dumb you have to be to look at your six through your seat.

    Still- If the excuse for the i15 and i16's better views is simply because they are the only open cockpit p;lanes in WB, then how come they dont frequently die of PK's? Shouldnt rain of even light 7mm fire from a 109 or zeke nail the pilot through the canvas and balsa type plane into an unprotected and exposed pilot?.

    We can feel lucky that there are no pilots with big heads at each cockpit 6 view :) Like at older sims ;)

    @allsop
    because i153 and i16 have armored headrest behind pilot's head
    plexiglass is not much of an armor and that's the only difference between these planes and, say, spitfire - pilot is exposed in similar way from different directions
