These threads have become too normal, we need some senseless shit flying around..to get people going again.

Please unban Roland. If he is already unbanned, tell him to act like he used to, or he will be banned, lol.

    How it went down

Can't say I blame the man for not showing up anymore. Sure, he was an irritation, or he did his very best to be one... but that one final remark that sent shit flying was a poor excuse to ban someone.

Still, the community decided, guess I opted for the "ban for a week option" anyway.

Ah well, not the first time I've been a hypocrite.

A schizoid who wants approval here and fears rejection by the body politic, would adapt and come back with a new nick and no-one would notice. It is guys [and gals:eek: ] like me [and XXXXX and FFFFFFFF and VVVVVVVV etc] who couldn't pull it off because they wear their heart on their sleeve.

    Schizoid behavior has a cause:
People demanding you change your ways when you are entirely comfortable with your ways and must needs change from event to event, from place to place and situation and surroundings.
Let the guy be free. as in freedom. Nobody has to read anything, it is a passive act.

I stopped reading mac's stuff FOR A WHILE because he hurt my feelings. But guess what? He got a bit nicer towards me. EVEN THOUGH HE PROBABLY WOULD RATHER JUST BE [what I saw as] RUDE. IT WEARS A MAN OUT DOING THAT ON DEMAND.
    SORRY MAC.
    Sorry RolLand.

Yup, exec just needs to have his ego tickled from time to time, guess it turned out to be the right time.

Not to mention that exec made a completely biased poll and interpreted it as such. Here's what I wrote about it back then, still holds true:

    Everyone is biased.

Him being a mod doesn't mean he has to like everybody. Though indeed, the law should be equal, however, the "forgettable guy" part referred to how he feels about Roland rather than how he would ban Roland. In the end, he could've just done anything without asking anybody. It's easy to be a tyranical totalitarian mod.

Well yeah, it's better to ask us what to do and then totally don't give a fuck about it, instead of just doing what you want in the first place %)

Or the minority was louder than the majority. And we both know, it was. Anyway, as much as I prefer democratic forum control, I don't think a mod should explain his actions to the community any more than he wants to. That said, there is always someone whom he needs to answer to, e.g. an admin.

Funny you guys just came up with this topic. I've recently had a similar problem on the forum. I have asked the Forum Administrator about moderation, and his answer was the following:

So I made a search and showed him some of the banned guys. No reply. I guess -exec- does his thing for self entertainment?

Let the banned rest in peace. We know you didn't like him, but there's no reason to mess up his eulogy.

You really didn't need to kill the thread that was erectioned in his memory.

Yup. Pink does it. Which other colour would you pick? I really can't imagine a very suitable one, except perhaps yellow, black or brown for a variety of demographics. Or maybe white, for the extreme northern funkers.

In any case: Heed my warning!
