i apologize if this thread will be regarded as better placed under "off-topic" or "history", sorry to admins! but the document, of which this is about, will in a way also show evidence for the high-realism of warbirds. not much of you will know, that i do some research for historical documents as a journalist... a short time ago i have found in an old archive-bunker a 35mm-reel of the "wochenschau", dating from 1942. the "wochenschau" has been a weekly news-report, shown in german cinemas before the main movie has started. i still have to find out the exact date of release. because parts of the document are in bad constitution, i digitized the movie for later analysis. you will see, that the live-footage includes scenes of air-combat which clearly show how near to realism warbirds is. the file is compressed to avi (160x120) using divx5.02-codec, but still 18megs of size. since i have no webspace myself, i asked friends to store it, who will make it available for approx. 2 weeks. if you are interested, please go to http://fly.to/ledada i am looking forward to read your comments... ps: sorry for the inconvenience of routing to the link - i wanted a different way... but that's another story! pps: link updated for better accessability.

wtg wmed3 here you can see - it is possible to make a very good tv-program without commercials if you compare the historical film tracks with wb, than nobody should say against the simulation in wb - it really real @ledada i hope you will find more of this historical documents - WTG
