Small war I - Eastern front, Early 1943
Non-historical scenario
It is made for best fun and gameplay.
18.VIII - this sunday

There are 2 sides - german (gold) and soviet (red). Each has 3 big fields spread quite far apart. Radars are on, icons - same as on MA, terrain is medrl2. Arena is Training

The objective is to defend your fields and to take as many fields of the enemy as possible. The scenario will be limited to 3 hours duration with extension of 30min upon any of Marshals request.
A pilot can fly only 1 type of plane through it. Ordinance can be changed however.

Each side will have Air Marshal, sitting in tower. He will make operational plans the day before action (until then all pilot numbers and wings must be available). This is the strategical part. When operations start he will have to adapt his plans to the real situation to respond to unexpected moves by the enemy Marshal.

Besides there are Generals commanding the 3 fleets - bomber, fighter and ground attack - it is not necessary they to sit in tower as well. They are responsible for the details of pilot division to wings, plane ordinance, detailing out war plans, etc. They will form the Headquarters together with the Marshal for creating the Operational plan prior to action. So they are partly strategists but mostly tactical commanders.

Then there are the Majors - each leads a wing of pilots executing the orders of his General. That is - he is a formation leader.

Every General will additionally be either Major (lead one of his wings) or Marhsal.

I think (for now) it is possible a General to be Marchal at the same time or a Major of one of his wings.

Finally there come the pilots. They will have only 1 life. I`ll try to make rough 1:1 division between sides - now you can subscribe to whichever side you like until 30:30 is filled. Then quotas will be incremented by fives when difference becomes less than 5 (e.g. when fills 25:30 will be possible to subscribe for red up to 35).

This is only first event of a series. Later i hope to do more, enhancing it for best gameplay.

It will be this Sunday from 18.00GMT! Time for organization is very short so subscribe quickly and advertise everywhere. Subscriptions will be open until Sunday afternoon.

Planes are prepared with the help of gahris

Separation between planes will depend on Marshal and pilots` wishes. Also the exact way of organizing and briefing pilots.

The fields are as follows:
Gold - F1, F6, F7
Red - F18, F11, F15
This is on medrl2
All other are grey and should be ignored.

The ways of fighting will not differ from those on main arena. But there wont be need of transport planes. To capture a field is enough to keep it closed continiously (this means if f reups and is closed counter is reset) for 10 minutes

I advise Generals to order 100% fuel because distance between fields will be minimum 2 up to 4 sectors.

Candidates are chosen by the order of posting. Email for commanders is absolutely necessary. There are going to be reserve commanders in case original has problems to play, so apply even if you see people did before you. You will command the fleet/wing of the plane you have chosen.

Do not forget that General`s job includes the unpleasant task to organize the people in wings, make sure they are online, etc.

Applications are individual, however people are encouraged to participate in whole squads making wings. Please consult your sq leaders.

HQs (Marshals + Generals) must gather online in Saturday if not earlier to prepare their plans. If you are working only through email - better start from now.

Once rdy plans should be released by email to all Majors.

Majors must be online at least 30 min before 18:00GMT to receive and detail out their tasks. Obviously Marshals and Generals should be there too.

Majors must also care about briefing, organizing, etc. the pilots in their own groups and reporting any misses.

Pilots should come at least 10min before 18:00GMT.

I`d suggest creating squadrons for each wing on TA (squadrons on TA and MA are unrelated). So please pilots, remove yourself from any current squads on TA. I think its good this to be made standart practice.

Please, all Majors, record tracks of your sorties. Marshals, plz send me (or post on forum) your chat logs and plans, after the event.

1. La5FN didnt exist in early 1943...give reds La7 if it gets more pilots. Its pilot not the plane.
2. Right, WGr 21cm should be forbidden (or better removed from this sim totally)
