A song that cannot be disconnected from Twin Peaks, ergo a Twin Peaks reference. Guess I got to know it via the series, but damn, is it powerful.

In the end, it's not so much what he sings, as the way he sings it. Not to mention that brilliant sax. Too bad I could only find this version, and not a longer version, or rather, I found a longer version, but it was crap quality, echoing to hell and back.

    Mr. Sandman - The Chordettes

Every time I hear this song I always think of thermate man sneaking into Uncles' room after he falls asleep..then he unzips his fly and puts his balls over Uncles' mouth.

The lyrics are very similar to a song I wrote about a year ago called Mr. Thermateman:

    (“bung, bung, bung, bung..........)

Mr. Thermateman, bring me a dream (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Give him two lips like roses and clover (bung, bung, bung, bung)
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over.
    Thermateman, I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Thermateman, bring me a dream.

    ( “bung, bung, bung, bung.….)

Mr. Thermateman, bring me a dream
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen
Give him the word that I'm not a rover
Then tell him that his lonesome nights are over.
    Thermateman, I'm so alone
Don't have nobody to call my own
Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Thermateman, bring me a dream.

    ( “bung, bung, bung, bung)

    Mr. Thermateman
    (Thermateman: "Yesss?")
    bring us a dream
Give him a pair of eyes with a “come-hither” gleam
Give him a lonely heart like Pagliacci
And lots of wavy hair like Liberace
Mr Thermateman, someone to hold (someone to hold)
Would be so peachy before we're too old
So please turn on your magic beam
Mr Thermateman, bring us, please, please, please
Mr Thermateman, bring us a dream.

    ( “bung, bung, bung, bung….)

    Frank Marino : 'Free'

    So you think that you've
gone back To a state of certain madness
And you find it very hard to believe it so
    But the moment will arise
When you sing with joy and gladness
And the trappings of the dawn
    They will let you go

Free, from the situation, going on and on
Free, from the situation, going on and on

When the sun melts into night
And the darkness sets around me
I lay down on my bed, and fly
In the morning when I rise
Even more it will astound me
I'll open my eyes and dream

Free, from the situation, created by men
Free, from corrupted nations, let me say it again
Free, from the world's deception, going on and on
    Free, to sing my song

    "Enough!" he cried, "enough!"
Amidst the burning rubble and the debris of agony
And the chaos that erupted with the violence of
    madmen.
    "Enough!" he cried, ...
Where the nations leaders stood amongst the
    populace of the faithless,
And the smiles of fortune were cast in gold!
And the inheritance of their forefathers stood
    as a monument of suicide!
"The smell!" he cried, "the smell!"
"I am witness to the damnation
And have seen the contributors of freedom's end!
When the decision of few, made in secret,
Have raped and ravaged those who would lay down
    willingly!
Like a whore unto the universe!"
    "Enough!" he cried,
"My people have laid waste the gift of life and
    freedom, and have worshipped
    an abomination,
And have left the spirit of the land with remorse
    and desolation!"

Trying, Lord I'm trying, Lord I'm trying
    Trying, trying, trying, trying ...
    Trying to be free
    Fighting to be free
Don't you know that freedom is the key

    Until all nations arise
And be strong and just in my eyes
While a part of me dies for them
Until then I'll be set free
By the magic of my own mind
As I lay on my bed and dream

Free, from the situation, created by men
Free, from corrupted nations, let me say it again
Free, from the world's deception, going on and on
    Free, to sing my songs

    (Berry/Buck/Mills/Stipe)

Resign yourself that's radio's gonna stay
Reason: It could polish up the grey
Put that, put that, put that up your wall
That this isn't country at all

    Radio station, beside yourself

Keep me out of country in the word
Deal the porch is leading us absurd
Push that, push that, push that to the hull
That this isn't nothing at all
Straight off the boat, where to go?

Calling all in transit, calling all in transit
    Radio free Europe, radio...

    Beside defying media too fast
Instead of pushing palaces to fall
Put that, put that, put that before all
That this isn't fortune at all

    Radio station, beside yourself
Calling all in transit, calling all in transit
    Radio free Europe

Decide yourself, calling all of the medias too fast

Keep me out of country in the word
    Disappoint is unto us absurd

Straight off the boat, where to go?

Calling all in transit, calling all in transit
Radio free Europe, radio free Europe
Calling all in transit, calling all in transit
Radio free Europe, radio free Europe...

    "In Your Eyes"

love I get so lost, sometimes
days pass and this emptiness fills my heart
when I want to run away
I drive off in my car
    but whichever way I go
I come back to the place you are

    all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

    in your eyes
    the light the heat
    in your eyes
    I am complete
    in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
    in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
    in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
    in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light
the heat I see in your eyes

love, I don't like to see so much pain
so much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away
I get so tired of working so hard for our survival
I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive

and all my instincts, they return
and the grand facade, so soon will burn
without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside

    in your eyes
    the light the heat
    in your eyes
    I am complete
    in your eyes
I see the doorway to a thousand churches
    in your eyes
the resolution of all the fruitless searches
    in your eyes
I see the light and the heat
    in your eyes
oh, I want to be that complete
I want to touch the light,
the heat I see in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
in your eyes in your eyes
