I found a bug when playing the scenario. When we were ambushed by 190`s all planes dissapeared for me. I only saw tracers from our b17 and nothing else :/ . no planes , it was like i was the only one on arena And i had green beacon all the time and ping 120- 150 so it wasnt a disco
I had that too two times, only ALT + F4 and reconnect helped :/ Strange but i looked at field for 5 seconds and then searched for planes. I was searching few minutes and didn't found, once saw one contrail but no plane.
when first 190 approached to sid's b17 my wb crashed. therefore it could be considered as disappearance of my formation. it sounds like fremen has wb disconnected too, because he relogged and complained about someone who interfered his communication line. p.s. escort suck.
exec, my group of escorts should had been 6 pilots (included me), only 1 of my pilots registered in forum apeared, but i could to invite to other in extremis, while we were otw i lost 1 p47 due to conection (was kicked b server) and in combat, my only wingman left....didn t follow me and about me......i pursued a warping con for 2 min without to can check 6 and bb
p-47 escorted?! i noticed jugs only when replayed track. with this alt i thought they were to sweep air over target. with this heading i thought that they already had job done and rtb.
historical info: p47 went to escort when spits already fought. second, the lw planes stayed high and dived on b17 2 by 2. i know there a BIG difference between game and reality, but i'm sure that if we played our life, no one would jump in furball before anderstanding something of situation. so when we play scenario, all must forcing himself to not play like "kill for any price". for escort job, i think this kind of event is the best way to learn, so those who know know can give advices, for ex by communication between bomber groups and escort.
advice #1: when not sure that you can reach buff in 10 seconds and stay near it as long as needed, keep yourself d9 behind buff. advice #2: when going to sweep, go to sweep. don't return untill you lowered interceptors or even downed them. advice #3: at tabahost you will gain scores via .thanks command from buffs. no buffs, no thanks. for me it looks like fighter scores must be obtained ONLY by .thanks command. advice #4: don't kill interceptors while escorting. when you understand deeply why you must not kill interceptors, you will understand when and why you can kill them.
don't give up trying to understand it explanation is longer than time needed for finding the idea yourself. err. explanation is very short, while provement is long. but explanation without provement will not be accepted, because explanation is too primitive so people cannot believe it. often people cannot even hear the explanation because of it's simplcity...
