    Hello,

I'm wondering who modelled such a bulshit as Pe-2??? Much faster then original, armed with laser otto's. 3-5 cons killed in one sortie flying this bullshit is a normal resoult till there is no mk-108.

Killing this fucker in 109F2 is much more dangerous than fighting with 3 Spitfires. Looks like some rusians repairing their ego with this super overmodeled, twinengine bullshit.

Sorry to say that but WB going to be more and more shitty. Stupid armoured shilkas, bullshit powered Pe-2 with laser guided ottos. I'm out. See You in Target Rabaul

imo it's not about national ego, since TBF's ottos are equally deadly. not to speak of B17 and B24

i think both the accuracy and reaction time of ottos are a problem.
many times, when i'm going in a vertical, 80-90 degree attack on a TBF/Pe2 and i'm passing it at 700km/h, the bottom gunner still hits me. and i'm staying in his range of fire only for a second or so. not that much for a human gunner to react, aim and fire, isn't it?

imo, making ottos more realistic would stimulate buff formations + cover flying

It would also stimulate lots of moaning by the buffers about how this game is biased towards fighters. :p

109f was undergunned, thats why they made the rustsatz kits.
dropping a Pe-2 isn't too hard with a 109f, it just takes some patience & good shooting. Of course if you're dumb or you suck, then these are not options

some guy keeps sayin, "send me data. Where did you get that? That is not data. I need data, not allegory, not stories, data."

I dunno if there is any good data about gunners.
Which would mean designers have to, ahem, guess.

I don't like ottos, any ottos.
I don't like to fly buffs without an escort.
I don't like to shoot at buffs.
I don't like buffs much unless I am flying them, but I don't do that much because I get intercepted no matter how devious my route.........
Come on, can't you hit a plane while you stick stir?

Just go after the stragglers, their guns aren't too good when they are alone.
WAIT. Sorry, I forgot, this isn't reality or even close.

I don't like hunting penguins because apples from the moon keep ramming, at high speed, up my nose.

I don't play too much now that Jayroc doesn't play anymore. But when I get my Intel dual core PC with 4 gb's of ram in a week or so, you might see me here , but I'm afraid my PC wiill be too powerful for this game:mafia:

Last thing i remember about this game:
    1.hurricane 2c with 2x500lbs can outclimb hvy p51d (or it's close match)
2.fully loaded ju88 outruns f4f (or its close match)
3.109 better high speed handling than spit and can outdive it in long power dive. (sorry 109 fans but that's just not reality)
    4. fully loaded he177 outclimbs p47 (or its close match)
    5. il2 is made out of pop can aluminum. 1 50 cal gun will take it down.

ok and maybe the pe2 is kind of good too )

Nice machine. Go and get X-Plane.
My 2 gHz AMD box with 'shitty AGP2 video w/64mb vram' strains like a toddler at a bench press. It might work better for you.
And beware, it is dvd [I didn't look too closely at the fine print which should have been LARGE and RED and said "You idiot, your brand new and LOADED machine is ALREADY obsolete, nyah, nyah, nyah nyah nyah - go spend some more monnnnnney. go spend some more monnnnney. Nyah nyah nyah."]

[I am giving some serious thought to ditching this technology and heading north anyway. This is just a medium for advertizers now, I think I want out]

Do someone had any suggestions about Pe2/179 appearance? Jan '43?

AFAIK Pe2/type 179 had motor model M-105PF, which was appeared only in 1943.

Yeah, too bad Jayroc won't come back.... you didn't mention the super zekes, the super 110's ...
A real fast computer won't help you if you have a bottle neck internet connection. Perhaps if you get a real good joystick with no slop, vid card with lots of fast ram and a T1 line you'd have a better game experience????

What's Jay doing these days anyway?

Never had much of a problem with shooting down buffs, you simply have to maintain distance and be patient.

Simply place converstion at 600 or 700, hover at the edge of auto range, pick a wing, use short controlled burst. Doesn't take long to take the wing off. In the case of Ju88, many will try to roll away and use their dive brakes to force an overshoot. Chop throttle, dive away, spin around while maintaining distance, and do it to them again. :dark:

The only problems I have with buffs are.
JU88 taking off from small fields. If we wish to be realistic and at least partially balanced then the B25C needs to be CV capable, and all B25s need to be able to launch from small fields, including the H model.

Cut throttle, Split-S (in that big truck), full throttle again + wep, and go in a gentle dive.... and let those fucking spitfires eating grass :p

learn to aim, if you move fast and shoot good you can easily kill pe2 even with 109F2
