    Weekly Update Report © 2

The yesterday meeting w/ franz bring some nice news for TH...
he show me a cool new kommand...
.assume Fx (where x must be one CV/Cargo field - cargo in the maps that convoys)

So, imagine the map of NG2 where have lets say 2CV fleets and 2 Cargo convoys...
Well the higer streak pilots in arena, can assume the command of this fields setting its routes just like v1 stuff as this:
after .assume F20 (for example) you can set route typing .az 320 and presto! the CV/Cargo fleet is now heading bear 320 degrees... to change route, do it again...
when the new Admiral leaves her chair, the next higer streak is ellegible to assume the fleet

We zeroed our streak , in order you can test it, so please kill someone and take the admiral chair... after tigrou's meeting I will set water terrain w/ 4 CVs... or NG2 w/ cargos... btw cargos has important strategical role, and when it get port, the fields related get more planes and get faster reup! :)
    enjoy

    strange mnemonics...
    i'd suggest to use commands
    ".admiral f20" (.adm f20 ;))
    and
    ".hdg 320" (.hd f20)

azimuth is direction that is not course.
heading is the course in difference to azimuth.

as for streaks, the scoring system (motivation and demotivation) is not ready, so binding it to topstreak is not quite convenient.

btw, cv evasive must have 5s warning for all on-board, including pilots within radius of 200m (d2, those pilots are very probably are standing on the deck).

should cv make evasives with admiral on the deck?
where cv will go to after admiral quits the deck?
could you explain verbosely cargo-convoy influence to gameplay?

    anyways, great job.
    congrats!

-+-> I think no problem at all to change the command! Will ask franz :)

azimuth is direction that is not course.
heading is the course in difference to azimuth.

    -+-> Oh thanks! :)

as for streaks, the scoring system (motivation and demotivation) is not ready, so binding it to topstreak is not quite convenient.

-+-> its a temporarely solution till get better way!

btw, cv evasive must have 5s warning for all on-board, including pilots within radius of 200m (d2, those pilots are very probably are standing on the deck).

-+-> Franz is working in a new command (as .wings #) that set to CV pre determined evasive manouvres

should cv make evasives with admiral on the deck?

    -+-> Think so

where cv will go to after admiral quits the deck?

-+-> resume its previous route, going (see not using heading) to nearest waypoint

could you explain verbosely cargo-convoy influence to gameplay?

-+-> imagine that cargos has plane parts, ammo fuel, troops (engennering) so, when a cargo fleet reaches a port, the related fields get suplies => faster reups... :)

    anyways, great job.
    congrats

    TY!
btw Im surprised that franz didnt tell you, but was a surprise to me, also... :)

So, if the admiral quits the deck, will it return to its original route?
And I´ve doubts about that sail through the islands too..
    Anyways WTG :)

i saw this old american movie called "midway", not a super "chef d'oeuvre", but it was cool to see how this battle was like a chess party with boats over pacific.
the next scenario Midway can be very funny, with a 6hours frame :D

lol. It ins't necessary 6h, just 1h or 1h30min are enough when you fix limits to the start and to the game ;)

I guess its better: the greatest streak above X, so if there are only people with 2 streaks and one with of streak, he can get CV... but as a CV is a great responsability, I guess only people with more than streak 10 can use CV...

And watch out, dont go too near the land, or you'll get stuck :-D
