I would like to know which is the dot command to discover enemy pos or mission?

I usually become surprised when flying above radar range ( more then 4km = 13kft) and some enemy ( red ) rolls field before I start to bomb !!!

Today me and asnoma in 2x ju88a4, from F23, gone to F2 above radar range(4km = 13kft) and a red ( callsign : baudy- ) rolled F2 and climbed to our altitude very fast. He killed asnoma and damaged me. My ottos hitted him with 263 x 7mm !!!!! Nice red armor :@prayer: !!!

I saved the track if someone wanna see it.

Please, give me this dot command to discover enemy pos or mission !!!

    My Best Regards !!! :@prayer:

    Well, the radaralt is different.
In tower, type ".show" to see settings.
    I think it is .show...

Anyway, you 'll see many settings of the server there, among else radaraltitude and radarrange also IIRC

Am I the only one who finds the whole concept of OVERflying the enemy's RADAR coverage insanely retarded?

    nope. it's really arcadish
same like bombing a field without any warning being given to the attacked team

I too find rdr max altitude a strange "feature"...

The limit upwards is just some weather features (wich arent modelled) and the speed that the antena can turn to track (If something is very far this isnt a problem, the angular speed will be veeery slow...)

That's possible. Look: someone was trying to start from field... because he was going to start an raid or may be some another gold appears on dar near f2 and that guy was going to kill another gold...

But suddenly that guy had seen your buffs high near field. Of course he had started to cry and you see more cons rolling from f2.

PS: Please note, that Ju88/He177 can be found easy unlike the invisible B24's ;)

Just fly high (~4,5 km) and you are not visible on radar. Maximum range is 4,3 - but you must consider how high the field is placed.

Does it say "SABOT"? It's an armourpiercing thingymagoo then.
But its spelled as "zachot", which probably means "Insane and Retarded"

    :D

    ON TOPIC:
The early radars were kinda crap, so maybe it is an historical aspect?
They couldnt crank up megawatts so easily, so it could be an explanation.
    Maybe.

Nah, I don't think that's true. WWII RADAR definitely had no such altitude restrictions.

I thought you'd argue that this 'feature' was introduced for certain gameplay reasons, but from a technical viewpoint, the current 4 km-threshold is definitely not tenable. :znaika:

Gameplay reasons only. To protect the buffs.
In FH the radar works with exactly opposite restrictions than in rl ;) Hills won't stop it, but altitude will.

use cover and fly at a high altitude so it would take longer to them to climb to you

btw, i'd gladly fly cover for buffs if the radar alt was realistic. they would attract a lot of cons at high alt, where i like to fight
