Your Political Compass

This thread is intended to put to rest disputes about where people are relative to each other politically. Some say that Europe is either right, left or centrist. Others say that Europe is left and the USA is on the right. To put an end to all this confusion, I have a solution that will work if enough participation is put forward (this will take only about 5 minutes):

1. Go to http://www.politicalcompass.org/
2. Click on "take the test."
3. Once finished, record both your Economic Left/Right and your Social Libertarian/Authoritarian numbers.
4. Post these numbers on this thread (see below for more information).

If you do not wish to put your numbers on the forum, then you are not obligated to do so. Insults about political standpoint are discouraged in this thread.

I will take the valid information provided and assemble a graphic showing the location of each person on the political compass. It will be updated periodically as new information is received.

Authoritarian, leftist American!

Ordnung, а долой капитализм!

Economic Left/Right: -7.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.41

Strong traditional morals and order in society, yet assistance to all those who are legitimately part of our society.

(I think this test was posted here a couple of years ago, when I was visiting then, but I think the test questions have changed a bit, so that's not a dismissive comment.)

Had a bit of beer tonight, but in vino veritas, correct? I post because you seem well educated and are honorable about hearing the opinions of others, though I imagine we don't entirely agree on certain subjects. :)

Thank you Uncles. This might be an interesting way to get people to know each other better.

Same as Gandhi LOL!!

But lately I'm slowly drifting towards opinion that strong dictatorship of a wise and honest man (LOL, unreal, I know) would be best for a society. Hitler and Lenin IMO had some brilliant ideas but both were just humans with all the personal phobias and prejudices and both were total madmen, so they failed. Looks like that what we need is a Great Electronic Brain to lead us (HAIL!) :D ;)
I'm drunk ;)

You have to be kidding, right?!?

Do you REALLY judge people by their results on a graph, after 20 questions????????

Does someone's political persuasion tell you EVERYTHING about that person??

Glas, I did not start this thread to judge people, and 20 questions does not tell one everything about somebody. When a person looks at the results, however, predictions can be made as to what that person might believe in. For example, if somebody was to have a plot on the upper left quadrant, he/she would probably be against abortion and would be more supportive of welfare and national healthcare.

These results are not intended to alienate anybody, they simply show what stance somebody has. I think that people should be proud of their political stances.

Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races

Agree. Black people are well adapted for hot climate. Also they jump more.
White people on the other hand are better at drinking beer. It has other superior qualities.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -6.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.97

I think there should be a 3rd dimension there. Submission to the state (the law) is irrelevant to whether the state is authoritarian or democratic.

squirl would you post your answers to a selection of questions from that site? (I could do the same if you want to)

Hi, Grobar. In America we call what you're doing "race-baiting" :) I happen to be white, but many Europeans tend to think that most Americans are racist, and that always bothers me. It's an easy position for Europeans to take...

My father was quite European, and I am very familiar with European history, especially during the War years (both first and second).

I'd wager that my community here in America is many times more diverse than any European community (excepting poor communities in France and Germnay that I've seen in person). I recognize your background, your parentage, but I maintain that no one can speak accurately to American race relations unless one has been born and raised here (in the US).

And BTW, I had several professors from Budapest's universities.

I only studied the Bulgarian language for several weeks, so I'm sorry that I cannot speak with you fluently :)

Again, not to judge anybody, but my position seems to be very lonely :).

compressed comparisons

gif-compression will reduce size of non-gradient grafics enormously, which means 3 times enormously for 3 times presented grafics...
