Ok, the breakage is located, tomorrow we'll try to fix it (it is a hard work, really), and I hope that at Friday (or early Saturday) the FH-server will be up.

It is really hard to solder a fiber-optic cable, all 4 pairs, especially when two feet of the cable was broken completely, and I need to solder a spare cable with the main one. But I don't give up. ;)

@ Ivan: Hope my post didnt come across as being complaining, it wasnt intended as such.

I, for one, am grateful for all the hard work your putting in to get us addicts in the air again :)

I think I see your problem there - you can't solder fibre optics- the solder doesn't let the light go through! :znaika:

    Sooo, I guess the soldering-experiment didn't work? :)

FO-cables are the very devil to patch up. If it's Single-Frequency cable, it means you have to paste two cables of 0.05 mm diameter EXACTLY together, or else it won't work. Not the nicest job in the world
