oze, interesting point there... how did the Bali act reflect on the public opinion? Increased or decreased support for war on terror? nevermind, im talking nonsense About the East of Europe - very unfortunatelly it has already succumbed under comercialism. Although things have not taken yet such radical forms as in the West of Europe. I guess we are in your 1960s e.g. there is excellent and cheap public transport and few parking places. every bus has a driver and a conductor. the prices of the things are a bit above what they really cost to be made (not like here - 1.40£, buy 2 for 2£ - logical conclusion is shop lies to you with at least 0.50£ per item), there are lots of lots of small shops - every 2nd street and their owners are your friends but big hypermakets are spreading since 3 years ago etc. But people go after money maybe more than in the West. I hope it is only because they have few. About the non-European East - watch "Howra Howra" documentary. I loved it!
Perhaps because there is so little money it becomes more noticable? I would have thought people in the West would be much more money-orientated just by the simple fact the cost of living is so much higher. You would be much better placed to tell us now that you have experienced both cultures -glas-
IIRC, the public support for the war increased after the attacks. I guess why wouldn't it? But to those of us who are cynics, the timing of the attack was spot on. Regards, Oz
well, they could see its better to stay away from the dirty business... Tadaaa! It is obvious! Protestantism (modern) IS commercial! There are hundreds of different denominations that you have a religious market. You can choose the best church that suits you. And they compete to get bigger shares of the customer market very agressively. Yesterday I was passing by some methodist church, and there were pictures on the street of how the interior looks, furniture etc., hihihi. I guess you can find it on the internet as well and book it lol
