if u want to provoke, at least do it reasonably..

 

ive seen a few people say ponys faster. dont belive em. u can dive after a ho and ki 84 can still catch u pony. ki faster and far better ant climb and turn the p51. only thing p51 has going for it is it easyer to aim. but then if u can aim p39 ki should be easy to aim for u.

on side note. 109s in here acculy will easily run down a pony too.

the p51 might be slightly faster on a lvl e from dive and wepped run. but because of 109s e cariteristics in here the 109 can still run u down. i watched 6 as 109 pulled up to 500M lost d2 dove got d4 back climbed lost d2 dove 500 meter gained d4 back to catch me from d15. if i did that in pony id lose20-30% of my e and barly get any back in that shallow a dive. and this was before they increased 109 wep and e. forget it now.

 

m'kay I just broke the sound barrier in p51D in TA and recovered only losing an aileron - can any other plane here do that?

Bullshit In real life you would be dead because of unrecoverable dive. There is an effect of aerodynamical focus moving back the hord of a normal (not swept back) wing. And normal (not fully turnable horizontal stabilizers) elevators are insufficient to compensate that focus displacement at sonic/supersonic speeds.

 

As far as I understand, there is no air compressibility modelling

P51 is faster than ki84 but you must gain speed in dive, p51 accelerated very slowly. Also spitfire mark XIV is faster than ki84 at any alt.

Shiden is suck here at all, esspeciallity these 4x20mm are bad guns, near impossible aim propertly.

 

I have to admit that I like this thread.

Instead of people dicussing about red/gold this or that plane is an uberplane, all are talking about good and bad points about some planes and how to take advantage of that knowledge to beat the rival. That is the way to get some fun with this game.

I was fed up with all those threads about who has better/worst planes.
