------------------ -- With respect, Pavel Pavlov, wb:boroda Commissar 25th IAP VVS
I think WB3 looks bit scrappy, compare plane models to WW2online. Especially early Focke-Wulfs (a4,a8) have shape errors in WB3 and colors look little cartoonish. I like this more: [This message has been edited by illo (edited 29 October 2000).]
Hi illo! Do you have WB3 demo? or maybe you know where i can get it (not at iEN site)? Please! ------------------
------------------ Wbr, Andrey "Papa" Lutsenko, Major of "Far East Tigers"
Sorry i have just seen video clips of WB3. WB3 is now in closed BETA, so i guess there isnt any playable demo. sorry. I was really impressed about WW2 onlines video clips. Very much detail...even pilot is not part of plane. And i've respect for DrDoom much more than to IEn When DrDoom is working on game(WW2OL) result cant be bad. Btw. i guess it was he who originally started WB under name Confirmed Kill, but then sold it away?? Any info? see you rg
I thought that WB (Confirmed Kill) was started by HiTech, Pyro, GunJam and Killer - the guys who flew together in Air Warrior... DocDoom is a ButcherBird prophet - but he wasn't in ICI team. ------------------ -- With respect, Pavel Pavlov, wb:boroda Commissar 25th IAP VVS
Thx, Boroda I remember DocDoom playing AW many many years ago. I have heard a rumour he started working on Confirmed Kill but sold it to other guys forming ICI...not sure about this ofcourse. ps.Nice we could have little english chit-chat here now ill go and learn some russian. see you! What happened with WWII online? I thought it has to enter open beta in 3Q 2000. Am I missing something? ------------------ Axis Foreign Volunteers Squadron "Nationalists of all countries - UNITE!" http://grobar.search.bg/volunteers Leader
As refered above, Warbirds did arrive from Confirmed Kill... CK has a funny story... It used the Flight Sim Toolkit engine, with some changes ( multiplayer ), and the last beta version of it was 0.91. Some months had passed and the game was renamed to Warbirds, upgraded to 1.0 ( i think... or was it 2.0 ? ), and the basic engine was changed, due to problems with Simis, the owner of FSTs engine ( looks like they weren't providing great support.... ) I used to ba a CK beta tester, and stayed ( paying ) for 1.5 years more... DrDoom was not part of the team ( i recall this name from AirWarrior, i think... ). The majority of the original CK/WB team is now working with Hitech...
