    Nonono, Biles is right.

I've got CNet newsletters, which are the same as ZDNet AFAIK. They suck (some fat Chinese blob answers readers' questions, what the hell do I care?). When I try to unsubscribe it tells me to login in order to manage the subscriptions to my e-mail address... and guess what, I don't know the fucking password... so it's an ass backwards system because now I'm stuck with that crap newsletter. The saddest bit of it all is, classifying it as junk won't help a bit, because MSN thinks it's a genuine newsletter and deserves to be read by me...

Tsk tsk, irritating to say the least.

Well, if I sign up for a newsletter, what address am I gonna give? I am, of course, gonna give the email address the newsletter is coming to, right?
I wouldn't want a newsletter I signed up for to go to my biles@thisisforgarbage.net account, becuase I would then have to go to an account I only use for signing up for crap in order to look at a thing and then have to weed trough all the spam that is IN the spam only account...
Why would I use a spam address for something I want?
Okay, then, when I, later, change my mind and say to myself, ach, this is all shit, I get the shit in my useful email account.
Ziff Davis are moneychangers in the temple. I think that outfit is scum for doing this to me. I have read techie articles where skilled techie writers, guys I respect, are stuck with ziffnet spam and cannot do anything about it. If it can happen to journalists I respect, it can happen to me even easier.
Again, keep away from ziffdavis, they are no good, worse than letting a Jehova's witness in one time and then you have to tell them next time to "fuck off, I let you in once, what makes you think I want you to come live here?" See? Becuase a Jehova's witness understands what Fuck Off means, ZiffDavis doesn't care, it is water off a duck's [robot's] back. There is no human to TELL TO FUCK OFF.

    Nevermind.
    Just don't

i cant believe someone is actually reading this stuff
and im not talkin just about newsletters - these may be, after all, useful for some people

just like i cant understand all those commercials in tv, or adverts on web
i thought in 99.99% cases it cause just an aggresion..?
    this is amazing for me

Ive often wondered that myself spuint. To me, it is just a complete irritation and I cant see how it can possibly be profitable. But then, these companies who are advertising are usually big companies anyway, with a massive marketing bill. Spending a few 000's on some i'net advertising just to keep your name/product/image in the public mind is probably money well spent to them.

How many spermatozoa are spilled on the ground or into a moist warm void without a baby being made?
    Babies are still made though....

I read spam because I want to enlarge my penis to the point it obstructs the vision of the monitor so I will never have to read spam again.

ads are to keep the brand in minds of customers, for them to remember when they choose the products in supermarket
the best ads are those which stay in customers' memory, those that are associated with positive feelings; when you go to a market you tend to chose the products you like or are inclined to like because of someone telling you so (a friend.. or and ad...)
besides brands that have never occured to a customer will never be bought, because noone ever tried it and few people wish to spend their hard earned money on untested products, better to buy cheap crap that is known to be generaly eadible/somewhat successful in removing stains/whatever you wish it did for that amount of cash

as far as spam in concerned, I don't really know if it works ;) but if every 100th person reads it and then every 10000th person actually buys that shit, then it's probably worth it, because spam is cheap...

Why is no breast enlargemnet pills?
Why is no vagina enlarging pills?

Is a computer to easy to work these days that morons are a large enough demograph it is worth trying to broadcast to them?
Well, if there are ten morons using the internet, and I can get my ads to all ten of them, and one of them buys my product, I simply deduct the cost of advertizing [spam] from my profits, OR deduct advertizing monies from my taxes.

Do we hear duck hunters whining about all the wasted pellets coming out of the muzzles of their guns?
    No.
It couldn't be worth it. Why, there are 11000 pellets in my single round of birdshot! I only got two fuckin birds this trip.

How much did your shells cost?
Why, um, I got an account, see? As many shells as I can carry to the duck blind... and lately, I have an interent connection right there, IN THE DUCK BLIND. So I can, pretty well, get shotguns shells reloaded at a rate of about twenty thousand per second....

    that sounded clear first time..

im amazed for this one duck
and - with this one dead duck, there are hundreds pissed ducks

its not like: 1 buys, the rest dont care
talk to anybody about spam, he will say he HATE it
the same with 15min commercial breaks and aggresive flash ads on the web

number of spam readers must be high enough to compensate all negative reactions on aggresive ads/spam
and thats sth i will never understand

    What negative reactions?
It is a technical parasite. It has antibodies to ward off attempts at forcing consequences on the little [deleted] who broadcast it.
