You guys want to hear a good cd? Verse's new cd is what I like to call orgasmically good, and we're playing with them August 4th. Me love Providence Hardcore.
AH Chris Duarte is very good ron <S> Now give these fellows a listening too <S> http://www.blindpigrecords.com/artists/Magic+Slim.html
Just jokin' buds, Chris Duarte's music is really cool, and I always enjoy listening it. Two tumbs up for Chris. Earlier we used to have really nice conference on "Who is the best guitar player". Any new names to mention here? I am sure there is plenty of really talented gutar players around. Speak up buds. cheers. ron-in
Paco de Lucia is a great guitar player, i think the best playing spanish guitar. He recently received the prize Prince of Asturias by his contribution to this art. If you don't know him, and want to feel a bit like in Spain, listen to his music
Ahh spanish guitar yes poco is good. ever hear strunz and farah?? very good too. or jesse cook? give them a listen too. or blues Magic Slim and the tear drops. When listening to Magic slim make sure you have it loud bullet
Bartender all of what Cierzo and Bullet can drink and eat for entire night I am payin'. Paco DeLucia the great! I admire him and his music alot, and for me he is one of the best. Fandango, Flamenko, Jazz-Rock ++ Flamenko... Highly recomended two of his songs tho one of em he play with Jon McLaugheen and Al Di Meola. Entres Dos Aquas and Rio Ancho You must listen if you like paco and his music. regards Ron-in
Pat Martino He's one mean jazz burner ..Gyus asked we ought to rehearsh Duarte's 'Letter to my Girlfriend' this autumn.
Since Biles advertised Chris Duarte here in one of his artistic threads - I became a real fan. Unfortunately I can't buy his CDs here, so I spent some time DLing his music in MP3.
This is slightly off topic, but I must: Have we got any fans of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven out there?? Regards, Jochen
Yes from time to time I listen some of Mocart's music, but Betoven is kinda to hard-cored for me and its not that I do not like it - just doesn't fit in to my 'faworites', then again Shtraus made some really nice music. The most I like is Hungarian Dance from Johannes Brahms, that amaizing masterpiece, if you didn't listen it you must!!, and on the end Maurice Ravel and his Bolero. Salieri nah... regards ron-in ps whats happen with that George Waters, haven't heard anythin about him lately!...
Like Ravel's bolero is 'one-of-a-kind' piece ..(which I use to listen when I shave my head with razorblade ,haha ) ..so is Karl Orff's 'Carmina Burana' ,pure agony about the lord od fortune ,but how about the composer Rossini? Or one of my hobo's Jean Sibelius
ROTF LMAO Oh my god... I can Imagine that! Jac can you read notations, ( I know you can read tablatures and they are included to ), If yes I can give you 9 pages of Paco's 'Entre Dos Aguas' notations. I am sure you will love it. For the begining here is the first page - begining of the song. regards ronin
well yes jochen. mozart i just love his salzburg syphonys and divertimentos. beethoven is decent to, but less familiar to me. my classical taste include boroque period vivaldi, bach(and many of his sons especially c.p.e.),handel,albinoni,telemann, haydn (poppa and his sons) bocherini, elgar even the strauss's. and many others. <S>
i still remember the times when my sister used to play those symphonies on the violin. magnificent listening when are well played
Good guitar-players: Trey Azagthoth (Morbid Angel), Brian and Eric Hoffman (Deicide), The late Chuck Schuldiner (Death), Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad, Ocean MAchine and The Devin Townsend Band) Good drummers: Gene Hoglan (Ex-Death, now Strapping Young Lad), Paul Bostaph (ex-Slayer), Dave Lombardo (Slayer) Great singers: FRANK MULLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Suffocation), Devin Townsend (SYL, DTEB), The Beast (Zimmer's Hole), everyone in Nile. Well, yeah... I'm a metal-head I guess
Love the Salzburg Symphonies! Of course, they're all fantastic, but I particularly love the second movement of the third one, in F major, K.138. My interest also stretches into Baroque and into the very early Romantic. Mozart and Beethoven are my two most-often listened-to composers, followed by and Franz Schubert and J.S. Bach. Great tastes you have there! Regards, Jochen
