pe-3 is introduced to be a special radar fighter for ussr, along with uk, german and japanese aircrafts.

otherwise pe-2 variant would be used (as in 1.69), and the latter is a bomber with bomber score.

word fixed. well, next release i'll elaborate changes more verbosely.

    http://www.joebaugher.com/usaf_fighters/p38_16.html

"the Army issued a contract change calling for the Lockheed Modification Center in Dallas to convert 80 additional P-38L-5-LOs into P-38M"

"These were just entering service when the war ended. The P-38M saw operational service in the Pacific in the last few days of the war."

i don't see any sense in making P-38M for 1945-09.

I am not really suggesting that a true P-38M be made available as I believe there were 75 "official" units made. There were about the same number; 74 "path finders, night fighters modified in the field. However if there are going to be radar planes, then a P-38 night fighter should be considered just as a Bf110 Fug or Ju88 radar planes could be considered.

    Personally a hot-rod flat black P-38 with 2 X 1600HP engines sounds great!

Hmm a night-fighting radar equipped 38...Why not? :p We have plenty of other useless invalid aircraft and ground craft in the list anyway (should take those out for more space). I actually would have rather preferred to see the 38F, 38G, 38J15/25 and L. They all served an active and effective role in combat and were produced in greater numbers than 152pcs, without constant failures/problems. :D

Oh, yes! Definitely ! I'd take all those before an M. However there is something about flat black planes.. Even the Horten Ho229.. ha ha...

I suppose just a black version with the 1600HP motors... or just flat black..?

I guess in the real world they used the night fighters to lead bombing groups so very few were needed anyway.

sounds like too much work to have a special radar plane only when you have more that one buff in formation.

    I'm still dreaming of a P-63... :rose:

BTW: How can we advertise FHWB ? Try to get the website put into search engines, more Youtube flicks to attract more player?

    :dunno:

I think more youtube videos would be a good thing. Definately word of mouth would help, however, WBFH MUST BE FUN FOR ALL. Adding aircraft that cover a broad spectrum of WWII action, which are in an arena where physics are throttled down so it's plausible and fun would be great.
    Example:
    1. Ease of hitting a target
    2. no PK, no impossible stalls, no impossible spins, no impossible blackouts/redouts.
    3. Drones at random, taking off and airstarting from a distance.
    4. Onboard radar.

If we had these options in an arena, it would be a playground for new guys. I've made this recommendation before in more detail.

Many of the simulators out there are so limited on aircraft but, cover the range of aircraft that saw service well enough to interest everyone who are interested in variety and are mostly playable. Having 8 variations of one aircraft model to me is honestly a waste of space when most users won't really notice any difference that cannot be determined through past experience, and may never get used. As it is right now, we have aircraft that are not valid enough to be present in WBFH concerning historical accuracy, extent of use, becoming limited obscure roles, etc, and other aircraft. Not to mention aircraft that are not present which should be, and not here that participated during WWII in full action and, in a time when, the war was near end, and our RPS is so quickly ended.

    HELP !

OK, I got it working using Vista Home 32bit. after doing everything as per instructions.

A few days ago, I upgraded to Win7 Ultimate and the game worked perfectly.

Now, I did the 1.70 install and it looks good until I select aircraft and then it completely shuts-down, unloads itself.

    Any help guys?

Do I just re-install the same 2.77 package?

    will it over-write the newer 1.70 ?
