Pyro (Aces High producer and developer) agreed on 200 20mm rounds for some 109's http://hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=111725 ...and 65 30mm for some other 109's . It seems AH2 109's have them. greetings
Interesting, but at that pic i only see 155 rounds in total (with extensive packing). And i dont see the way to put there extra 45 rds .
If I recall correctly, this issue was discussed here several times - and was concluded that there was a room for 200 shells but they usually flew only with 150..... but eh.. that is the same what is said in your link...
Damn! Manoce is always posting when I'm about to press the 'reply' button! Yes, just wanted to compare that to the P-47 'max ammo' loadout. IMHO, there could be one for the 109 too. With the disadvantage of extra weight, it's not too absurd, is it?
well, you know.. I'm fast as hell ad your idea -- well we would need weapons jamming then; if this was reason why they were loading their mules with only 3/4 of max possible ammo... some coeficient added to weapons jamming code would make it real but there's problem how big that coeficient should be...
Most times I rtb with ammo left these days and 150x20mm or 60x30mm is enough to get on average 3 kills per sortie. Why need more? Mal
Make sure the additional weight is modeled into the FM also. The 109 is a very small airframe with marginal wing-loading already. The additional weight likely affected the flight characteristics adversely enough to be the reason they chose NOT to carry the full ammo load. But if it means more golds will dare to fly the 109 when the 190 HO is available, I'd be happy to let you all have unlimited ammo! Anything to keep you in the fight
