There are some reports about P39s stall problems made by pilots. Allies know that and export that plane to Russian. There they made several modifications is ammo, engine, armour and had good results, but stall problem was not solved.
F4Us P47s out off the subject this post.

No, acrobatics are out of this topic. We're talking about war planes, not circus' ones

I'm trying to help improve this game Broz, showing real performance by real pilots reports, not "imagination" one.

So what's your point? That its characteristics should be worsened because in a thread of another forum they say it couldn't do acrobatics? Poor improvement you'll get with that...

I'll appreciate it if you can send it to me, but nonetheless, not every book is reliable, and you should know it. Anyway, why bring up that thread if your point is going to be based on that book?

Soviet pilots flew aerobatics in P-39 (althru some died due to flat-spins), cause I-16 was even more demanding plane to fly, althru it get out of spin very easily, but it get into stall-spin even easier then P-39.

As most soviet pilots in the fist part of war graduated in I-16, P-39 were viewed as dangerous and demanding, but acceptable.

Usual russian field conversion included the removal of most of it´s armor,

Some armour were removed, but very little, mostly around the engine.

partly also the replacement of the heavy centerline gun by a lighter soviet 20 or 23 mm gun (don´t recall correctly).

Weapons on P-39 never were changed. As a matter of fact, the only Lend-Lease plane, which got weapons changed were Hurricane, as even 8 or 12 x 7.7 mm MGs were not enough.

    The weight reduction greatly improved

There were not any significat weight reduction.

It show to you another source.
The real reports made for real pilots are not good to you? You still think your feelings are better that the real ones?
After avaliation flight, RAF didn't accept P39s due poor performande and considered dangerours.

Maybe you are a real pilot that flew P39s and really know it.

Maybe so many testimonies reflected from other sources say the opposite. I can say in a thread that i met XXXX and he said that it was wonderful. Would you believe me? All i know is what i've read; and it says that P39 wasn't so bad, just that it didn't fit Allies' likings.

Can you post a source where it said that P39 was a good one? Russians did many changes in it to trying to get better performance, they did a pretty good work. But if that machine was so good as you belive it, they didn't need Yaks, LaGGs, Migs,....
