It was on 16.IX.2000 when grobar and dement - two dedicated gold pilots created AFVS. In one day joined -kash-, -fla-- and khafre. Now, 1 Year Later, the Axis Foreign Volunteers Squadron has grown to 31 pilots from 12 nations and keeps constantly among the top 5 most successful squadrons on FH. It went far beyond ordinary online squadron (just as were it`s creators plans ) - with the flowing mailing list which builds tight community, the ever expanding site offering wealth of information and functionality, with the special events like current in-squad tournament, and finaly: with the very special people - the Volunteers - who make it live and progressing! AFVS was planned to be, like the FH itself, a crossing place for different nations and cultures. So far we have gathered Volunteers from North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Our site is translated to different languages to reflect our true internationality: Many newbies became veterans in AFVS, many aces found good company, but what we are most proud of is we converted former lonewolfs into leaders - able and willing to organize their squadmates for a mission at every opportunity. Axis, Foreign, Volunteers, Squadron - each of these words is carved deep in Squad nature. Happy Birthday, Volunteers, and let the Squad become better and better!
