Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone here plays wings over israel? I discovered it few days ago , while i was searching for simulation with cold war planes.. Game itself has about 700mb, it is possible to download it via rapidshare or torrents. It is about jews attacking neighbourhood, with campaign mode, solo missions, and multiplayer.I didnt try it as multiplayer mode, but i see it can support up to 16 players ! In basic game there are just few planes , in campaign mode it is possible to play as Israeli only. But, the most important thing is, it is possible to very easy download new planes, from ww2 over cold war to modern jet fighters)) For free! This game is part of series strike fighters, wings over viethnam, wings over europe, but except that they use same planes i dodnt know anything about those games. I liked that Wings over .... series. Had nice multiplayermodus too. But no good online-community. And I was often confused by patches, mods, addons and so on.
I never tried it online , i just saw it is possible to play it on private server as wb .. Why would mods get in way of playing on mine or ur IP? I have basic terrain , desert, i just added russian planes and so on. Game itself imho has no special mods, just add-ons.(sounds, skins,planes) BTW, u should really see skin for F-5, mig-28 skin as in TOP-Gun http://www.column5.us/other.htm
to make possible the online feature, all the players should have the same add-ons installed. So... 'Wings Over Somewhere' series has no online arenas because each player has a different add-on/mod set-up
