the model still needs tweaking. the 217 in my drawing is a bit different from photos . i had to improvise. its still a scratch. pls if you have a good camo suitable for low poly model, let me know. p.s. i hope 217 was bleistift too
THX Mach-1! nice camo, looks very similar to the one on ju88. btw is it historically correct to use it for do217E2
Some sites to help you. http://www.internetmodeler.com/2001/april/aviation/do217.htm http://204.50.25.179/gallery01/do217e5ke_1.htm http://base13.glasnet.ru/wol/do/217-3s.htm frenchaces.free.fr/avions/ luftwaffe/do217.html
Engines of your model seem to be tad small...imho. But..well its hard to say. Also is fuselage that "round"..or should it be more cubic like in other german bombers.
engines IMHO good shape. maybe the lower part looks way cut off. however the cockpit is badly messed up. the side windows are too low. thats what might confused you. and the fuselage. the cut No. 4 in http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/do217.zip drawing was too round (the plane looked like an old fat whale) IMO if compared with all the photos for example http://www.luftarchiv.de/flugzeuge/do217.htm in accordance w/ the photos the No.4 cut should have triangular shape smthing like attach but its only my opinion, i have no proof
according to www.luftarchiv.de these two are Do 217 E-2; 6./KG 40 Do 217 E-5; II./KG 100 id make a skin like the e-5, thought the e-2 skin would be alot easier (the plane would be fairly visible above land). i try to make the model a e-2 as exec asked me to.
