I have seen a movie about F4U plane, and heard, that there was a version of that plane with 4 M-3 20mm guns with 924 rounds. I have wondered, if it is possible to add a modification in ordnance that can change the F4U-4 to F4U-4B with those cannons?

    Hi all

Exist one version of F4U with 4x20mm in old version off WB...

Maybe 2.50 or 2.60 no remeber... i fly it in WB-IEN , but the adm of IEnemy it removed it of service because the staff of 190D-9 always complained that he was a disloyal adversary: (

I flied I finish it mission in the main-IEN of the F4-U with cannons... he was as to embed an old friend :( one day for if to forget.

Salute my old Corsair, my old friend of battles & glory on sea skys.

rate of fire did not met dogfighting pilots' requirements, so only limited number of cannon-hogs produced (200 F4U-1C, 297 F4U-4B & -4C). they were dedicated to strafe operations.

Yes but with FHs über hispano it would be extremely effective.

    What about this?

Reinsert F4U-4B for a late period and do the same with the beautifull Ta-152H as his opponent and high alt fighter (and as opponent of Tempest too)!

Both where build and used in war in small numbers, but who says, we can't fly such ones? Netherless, THEY WHERE IN WAR!

F4U-4B should be easy, because 3D model and cockpit are ready. Ta-152 too, because of almost similar 3D modell of Fw190D.

I dream of a late-war-super-speed-fighting between these symbols of highest point of development during WW2!!! :super:

Some pics of F4U-4B, taken from WB v2.01:
