hi mates, back to FH BUT...

HI THERE, i'm tryng to come back to the action, i solved my joy problems cause there's a new computer on my place so.... i use WB there

the problem is that i downloaded wb277r3 full and the FH launcher but any time i try o change the plane it crashes.... i reinstyalled it 2 times, i use XP...

any solution?

I had this same problem when I first got XP. Seems it did not like the drop down menus in Warbirds. Updating my video drivers fixed the problem (Intel onboard graphics here). A workaround was to avoid the drop down menus by using the .plane xx command.

Sounds like me410 bug. It it has been selected attemptimg to fly or select another aircraft causes crash. Use the .plane xx command to change plane as soon as you enter and then fly it. Dont choose the buggy one again till its fixed.

 

it's the winXP bug just follow these steps (from nicaee's central) :

1. I use Windows 2000/Windows XP and WB in 3D mode but the game crashes when I switch planes.

If you are running Windows 2000 and want to be able to play in 3D you will probably need to remove a tick from "Display properties>Effects>Use transition effects for menus and tooltips", otherwise WB may crash when you change the plane.

Here's the fix for u.

Step 1. Right click on desktop, and select properties.

Step 2. In the new window that is displayed, click on the appearence tab.

Step 3. In the appearence menu, there should be a button in the bottom right hand corner called "Effects", click on this.

Step 4. In the effects menu the very first item is called "transitions and effects" (or something like this), MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS UNTICKED!!!!!! this is where the proplems lies.

Step 5. Click ok. and close display properties.

Step 6. Play Warbirds and be happy
