Hello! I am looking for a way to easily convert a recorded track into a movie file (AVI , MPEG etc...). I did a search and some people are using ACMCAM? but I have no idea where I can find it or if it really exists. Any help would be appreciated. Also I have noticed that when I am playing back a track I cannot alt+v for outside shots, any tricks? Also , is there a free cam view where I can go over frields and terrain? Thanks!

    Growler Cam

I like it much better than FRAPS.

Example of output? Sure. Here is one.

What you will see ain't from WBFH. I made the film thingie while playing with another A/C Sim.

Growler seems, in my opinion, to behave a bit better than FRAPS. Results may vary.

In tracks, to see outside of the plane, type .extview
in the radio. you'll see the wings and stuff, but the fuselage will be invisible.
    Looks weird.

And you can zoom in and out same keys as you use to zoom the map ingame.

I tried both of the programs. FRAPS goes to 1 FPS when I start capturing and just is way too slow. The guncam software works well BUT it flickers way too much. I guess I am shit out of luck :(

A shitload of RAM helps, I believe. Or whatever the crucial components are involving write caching, I think.
Turning off sound capture is good too.
Also, if you record while actually in live mode, I mean while dogfighting and all that stuff, your machine's priorities are MATH MATH MATH and other things take a back seat, mostly. What I do is use a game's inflight recorder, record what is up and then use Growler when playing back the ingame gotten ingame recording function thingie. I don't think there is near the same crushing burden of vector mathematics being cranked out on playback...
Disk writes have to wait while other computing has priority.
Oh, uh, if you running a P1 66Mhz machine then you really are S.O.O.L.

Don't give up. Using growler on a 1.7 gHz Laptop shitbox is fine. This little box here is like gramma. Yet it handles Growler okay. I don't know much about FRAPS...

    Sorry

LOL , dude my PC is fine. 2 gigs of RAM and 3200+ CPU with a 512mb ATI card. No idea why FRAPS is running like crap. I mean it drops to 1 FPS as soon as I start recording.
