In february/1942, the japanese expansion was in course in South Pacific and the allies wait the next step in Java Island. But the alies didn´t know exctally where or when this last attack could happen!
So, to introduce the use of ?SOUTHPACIFIC? terrain in TH, we create...

    ?Java Battle Event?

to reduild that tragical fight with WB tools.
Reds and Golds will be fighting again with the planes used in that combats (P-40B, Hurricanes IIC, Zeros, Oscars etc.) in a coordinate actions to reach its objectives.
The enviroment will be as much realistic as possible. The radar won?t be used and the big island won?t be able to capture before the invasion fleet touch the sand with his ?amphibious? tanks. Each team will receive the fleet?s routes just one day before the event and the plans to defend or attack will be done for the squad leaders during the game.
For this, at first time, it will be used all the features of TH. Night missions, tanks groups, wingmans for bombers and much more.
Check the comming details and rules in the Event box and reserve your slot!

    RULEZ

These general rules have been taken from the ?Battle of Britain Campaign Rules? like a model, and now it will be used for the ?Java Battle Event? with the necessary changes.

    Event
Event proceeds during 1h30min in TabaHost (IP 64.251.22.174). 15 min and every next 5 min before end of event the admins will announce it to all players. E.g: 15 MIN OFF, 10 MIN OFF, 5 MIN OFF.
In the end of game admins will announce GAME IS OVER. In this moment all players have to return to your fields/cvs. Pilots who will not keep this rule will be penalized with lost of points.

    Objectives
It will be followed the same of the real battle.
    Golds:
main ? capture the Java Island
secondary ? protect the Invasion Fleet; close the enemy fields; and destroy the Defefense Fleet

    Reds: gold cv?s:
    main ? avoid Java capture
secondary ? sink the Invasion Fleet; and protect the fields; give suport for Defense Fleet

    Players
All players have to be registered in the Forum and must know the briefing.
    Estimated # of Players:
    Gold
    24 pilots (6 for each Filed/CV)

    Red
24 pilots (6 for each Field)

    Admins
For the entire event each side will have one Main Admin and one or more Auxiliary admins. Boths cooperate and are responsible for the event. Auxiliary Admins can take role also as an "Observers? who watch for keeping rules in flight or target status reporting.

    Commanding Structure
In general each field/CV has one leader. This leaders ? four for each side ? will plan the missions and will be responsable for put the planes in the hangar, to this they will have Operator Privileges during the event just for that function.

    Communication
Communication radio channels + TeamSpeak server used in concrete event will be published in general briefing. Pilots and especially Leaders should be familiar with the common used radio operates.

    Briefing
General briefing will be published on this website. All Leaders should prepare their own briefing for their units and should make pilots acquainted with it.

    Activity areas
Activity area is established. Pilots must follow declared area, activities outside area are not allowed (check the green lines/ map coordinates 1,7; 1,3; 8,7; 8,3). Abidance of these limits will be checked by the admin observers. Pilots who will not keep limits will be penalized with lost of points.

Obs.: The gold and red areas are the start areas for fleets!

    Discos
Disco is not counted as lost. Discoed pilots will be assigned to the alternate mission, but it depends by the actual situation in arena and CO decision.

    General Classification
The winner will that one that reach the main objective.

    Radar Range
There won?t be radars in this game.

    Individual Classification
The same of the TH score system

    Planes used in event:
Golds: Zero A6M2, Kates, Vals, Bettys, Oscars, KI-27 and L2D Showa
    Reds: P-40B, Hurricanes IIC, B25C and B17F (P39??)

    Number of planes by pilot
There will be a fixed number of planes for each field that means two or more planes to each pilot, deppending number of pilots registered in event. So, if you're lost first plane (KIF, KIA,etc.), you'll have another one to try your mission, deppending your Leader.
As well pilots ditched can be rescued by country comrades

    Custom Fleet routes
The Main Coordinators (Vibora/Hilmar) will fix the routes and this one will be informed for each group of leaders 2 days before the game. Reds and Golds won?t know the enemy route!

    Formations
Depends on the Leaders decision. The same for the use of the command ?.wings [1,2,3,4,0]? by buffer pilots.

    OTTO
    set to .otto rg d6

    Approaching/ Landing Procedures
Each pilot or group of must inform in the team channel his approach/field and witch pilots are doing. The Leader or any other pilot appointed will organize the procedures, fixing a landing order. (Remember: friend collision will be possible after take off!)

    Example:
Vibora, Raposo and Bbking are returning and ask for landing permission on the team channel (Channel 103: Vibora, Raposo and Bbking asking for landing. F3). The Leader, Stuka, appoint the Officer/Leader/Pilot responsible (Channel 103: Barros in the twr, he?ll organize the approaching). Barros fixes the order (Channel 103: The landing order is: Vibora, Raposo and Bbking. Landing F12) and watch the landing progress (Channel 103: Vibora on the deck! or Vibora?s lost his attempt, he is after Bbking now).

Field Capture and Time to Reup
For historical reasons only golds will be able to capture a field and all the fields won?t reup after closed. Just f12 will be able to be captured and this action will have to occur with the Invasion Fleet(CV with Showas and tanks). The Adminis. will permit the launch of tanks and the take off of the Showas just when the Fleet be near of the sand, so the invasion will have to occur in a seashore, like a real one!
GOLDS, ATTENTION! Due some weird Franz-'s spell at South Pacific terrain, the field capture DONT uses paras... the only need is a L2D Showa "land" at runway of the fields -dunno why...

    Special Bonus
When a team close a enemy field the Admins. will permit 4 extra fighters for each group. Exemple: Red group based in f4 close f7, so each red group will have 4 extra fighters!

    Change Field
The leaders will be able to change your bases according this list:
    - F4 = F24
    - F12 = F25
    - F7 = F20
    - F18 = CVs
Example: Gold group in F18 will be able to go to the CVs Fleet and vice-versa, but just this.

    Penalties
Breaking altitude limits (????? There is any??? - vib) = summary kick
combat or accomplish any kind of mission out time limits or after declared time limit = summary kick
    Dissalowed take-off = summary kick
Crossing out of activity area borders = summary kick
Disallowed radar awareness (mean some other pilot except CO report in radio about radar situation) = summary kick
    Kamikaze Action = summary kick

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Please quote the whole Rooster, because otherwise it's impossible to see all B25 Pilots after a while. And mention, if you take a Hurri or a B25. ;)
Maybe my WiKi can help here again.
