yeah, that was kind of funny.
the guy writes a song about how hes pissed off about how 'nam vets got treated like crap in their own country, but nobody can understand a word of it & the song has a patriotic sounding name & chorus so everyone eats it up for all the wrong reasons...wheres the beef? lol

tailhook- errrr- fighter fling 2003 is pretty funny

Tom Hanks played the role of that gay, AIDS-infected man in the movie.

Yeah, that fuckin rich caddie driving flag wrapped jingodog. He sings about unemployed broke vietnam veterans with AIDS shutting down the auto industry in upstate yankee, somewhere.
In the 80s I was inundated by his irrelevant crap. I live in canada and EVERYTHING that flag draped [see above] sang was, well, again, irrelevant.

    And he is STILL crying.
He is what The Entertainment Industry does best:
Finds a formula and sticks with it or finds someone's formula and imitates it.
    We need.

Anyone remember Highway To The Danger Zone?
Well, I don't know why the fuck, but around that time of that stupid Tom Cruise movie was ALL KINDS of songs coming on the radio where there were the words "Danger zone" somewhere in the lyrics.
Truth be told, I have never seen a danger zone. I can imagine what one is, but, like, you don't see labels with "danger zone' written on them. You can be in a fuckin war and NEVER see or hear those words

    Highway to the
    DANGER ZONE

Bruce should take a fuckin drive down that highway in his cadilac.

[god damn, I hate that fuckin guy's crap, formula music]
And as concerns the Can't Understand A Word Of It?
Even when someone ELSE sings one of his songs, it comes out that way:

    Blinded by the light
Ripped off like a douche, you know
    the rotor in the night

Manfred Mann did it and it was NO MORE understandable than springsteens crying, whining version.

I am gonna delete this before some crazed, reagonite yankee shoots my granada off.

[Did Springsteen and John 'Couger' get married and have children? They could, well, maybe, except Bruce and John are already related, so maybe, well, a three headed, miserable bastard singer?
    Hmmm:
    Donald Trump Presents:
The Next Superstar Reality Imitative Show Television Thingie!

    Gonna delete this.

FUCK I hate springsteen. First thing in the morning especially.
Only thing worse would be, maybe, Garth Brookes.

Brad, I'm not sure why you had such a violent reaction to the mention of Springsteen. I think "Born to Run" is a good tune. Never having owned any of his albums, I can't really judge him. And how anyone can interpret even a song like "Born in the USA" as being jingoistic is beyond me, because the lyrics are about how difficult the protagonist's life was in America and the senselessness of war.

It seems that no "crazed, Reaganite Yankees" have appeared. Or perhaps you consider me to be a crazed Reaganite, which would be quite interesting. Then there could be lots of rewriting of real history, and possibly a Hollywood deal.

    Peace :)

Sorry. I am not impressed by people who sing as if they have just returned from a dentist. No matter how profound the lyrics are, if I can't understand them, they do NOT MATTER, how CAN they?

And the rest of my rant was nonsense - no, it really was. Ad hominem. Like what a little kid does when he is refusing to eat something the grown-ups are telling him is very good. It becomes a Big Deal and the little kid will argue until he is blue, even if he is, inwardly, convinced of the error of his ways. Um. I dunno if I am clear about this.
I am immature, a bully sometimes, argumentive, childish.
I didn't get back to it soon enough to delete the crap and leave the uncrap [about 2% of the thing]

Definitely lame :) Germans never used close formation in battle. Their tactics was "lose my wingman out of sight".
