Lol, the age old complaint comes back again. IL-2, not free, sure, you can download it, but meh. Falcon 4 AF, not for free either, sure, you can download it, but meh. OF, development stopped, OpenFalcon shut it's doors, what you have now is what you'll have. Red Viper, just FreeFalcon3 in another name from what I remember, not stellar. Sure, a community mod, but you'd have the same sort of feedback there as you'd have here. So, be realistic, two of the titles you mentioned are being developped / updated by people getting paid for it. The other two have either stopped, because community efforts don't tend to last because noone gets paid for it, and in the long run there's only so much fun to be had producing something for free for someone else to have those people nag about it (sounds familiar?), or they're just re-chewing of same old same old. everybody's whining about something (including me) but if FH were to ever disappear they'd be sorry (I know I would) let's face it it's been going for a long time despite all the drawbacks we have here - this means something, right? (that there is no other free WWII air sim out there with arenas set up like FH)
Ki-27b? PAPER SHIT PLANE Ki-27b is REALLY waste of slot, no one uses it here... WHY DON'T REMOVE THE 'EXCELLENT' KI-27? WE CAN COMPARE KI-27 WITH I-15 OR I-16? ki-27 is probably a failure in fhl gameplay. it was created for stretching fhl to 1939: finland, mongolia, poland. but we did not managed to drill the time more than ki-27. i objected to every point of demian's post, and i think it is possible only after i had read what he wrote carefully
So your basic complaint against it is that you have to pay $ for it? Unless you are from a third-world shit-hole, what is the problem with paying a very small amount for a decent program with a decent model, graphics, and a dedicated community/developers? AF was $20 when I purchased it -- pocket change. OF is still being developed by the community, and unlike FH (free hubris) the community does a very good job of getting it right. RV is still out there, why people like it I don't know, but there is a dedicated community and they are keeping it alive. Perhaps FH would do good by allowing the community open access to the code.

have you seen any of the napierdalators around lately? they got banned months ago as for ki-27, it was one of the best experiences in wbfh for me and im not kidding but it sure doesnt fit to this hosts reality

Never heard of the phrase "Never look a gift horse in the mouth"? OF is being developped by the community and they're doing a good job? Have you ever seen where they're at? Have you flown OF4.6? No, you haven't. Nik has recently released two videos of 4.6 in action, maybe more before, but that's it. Naldo has said OF shut it's doors himself. So yeah, sure, it's now a community mod, like it was before. And the same problems will come back again. [edit]Though I must say, having seen those few 4.6 previews, the improvements do seem like nice improvements, I'm curious. Though the Falcon name is old, and time is catching up with it. There's only so much an ancient graphics engine can take. -Z
OT, but do you still play racing sims, Z? The new Historic GT & Touring cars mod for rFactor is incredibly awesome. It's basically the cars from GT Legends with more accurate physics.
