Seems to me, fighting ability and acting ability are inversely proportional, eh? Every actor mentioned, so far, I can't stand watching for more than about one minute. Is there something wrong with me? Or is it you guys???
No. there is nothing wrong with you. Well, as far as I can tell from here anyways. Yes, most of the "foo" actors (Joe Bob Briggs says "check it out" or at least he used to...) are really horrible actors. That's why I like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Bruce the best simply because apart from their real art they were the least not totally "bad" actors, not good but they didn't suck. I like the Jackie Chan movies especially the out-takes at the end. It proves he really doesn't take his acting seriously, he admits he is not an actor but an "entertainer" and a very skilled martial artist/acrobat/athlete. The other guys, well they just don't have it. Whatever "it" is that makes for a believable actor. I had high hopes for Steven Segal and even Van Dam...but with Van Dam.... it was just too sad. Then after the second movie Segal for whatever reason went down the tubes. Aw Heck, I'm getting a DVD out and some beer....... later.
