Found a great site , Sleaping Giants - aviation afterlife in the desert http://www.kodak.com/US/en/corp/features/sleepingGiants/ A well put together site about the huge airplane graveyard in the US desert. Its quite a hvy site and can take long to load ...
I haven't looked at the site yet, but I guess it's about Davis Monthan AFB...? There was an article about it in Air Forces Monthly December or November 97 (or was it Jan 98?) just come and get it if you're interested loads of F-14's just rusting there greetz, Zembla :frag:
I'm more interested in C-130s I don't like jets at all, if it doesn't have a propeller (or rotor) I don't pay attention but I still like some airliners like MD-11 and 747-400 but I think it's mostly because of their size Warm regards,
Me, I don't really care for the new jet-fighters but i love the old jet fighters and prop planes. that place is amazing though! and to think that the US army fixes up the old planes and use them for target practice why can't they give me one ?!?! greetz Aplcps
