Yes, I'm an SAP-consultant.... Technology to be exact, which means I'm coping with the BC module mainly. But i'm also up too speed with authorisations (FI/CO), some ABAP/4 and SEM/BW. I also do a lot of project-management and architectural development.

    SAP - System against people!

I am also a SAP BC consultant. We should meet and get drunk together to forget about our damned destiny

We could make contact to change knowledge, tricks, and headaches. ;)

LOL!!!! SAP-sufferers worldwide, unite!!!!! :) what versions do you work with??? I work with 3.1F up to WebAS 6.20 (Solution Manager and BW/SEM). Most are on HP/compaq tru-64 and Solaris, but I also run some Linux and HP/UX systems.... (unfortunately, I also have two Windows NT based systems at work :( ). We only use Oracle... And you?

    Depend on the client,

you know, we, the consultants, are like mercenaries,

Just know I work with 3 system with Win2000+R/3 4.7 + MsSQL, 1 with Win2003 + R/3 4.7 Oracle, 1 with Solaris 8 + R/3 4.6C + Oracle, 2 with WinNT + R/3 4.5B + MsSQL plus a BW 2.1C, and some others with 4.5b and 4.0B. But I have had to "fight" in the past with many other configurations (from 3.1i to 4.7, with Nt/Win2000/2003, and almost all clases of UNIX: HP/UX, CompaqTru, Solaris; most of them with Oracle (the database I like most), but recently the fucked people from commercial department are selling all the new installations projects with MsSQL (Microsoft, puagggg).

The list of systems I have been working with is long enough to fill 2 pages.

Thanks to God, I only check them once a month, apart from puntual incidencies and some other sort projects (you know: patches, homogeneous system copies, ...), and not so sort ones (upgrades,...).

Oh man! I really would like to run away from all this staff and dedicate my life to really nice projects like try to save the last Iberian Linxes, or Royal Eagles, here in Spain (I know, would be a radical turn in my dedications, but I think that is what I need now; that change and some really looong holidays).

Best regards (sound familiar from SAP customer messages feedbacks? ) :D

Ufffffff, SPAU checks after Hot Packages is one of the SAP tasks I hate most.

I still remember once a colleage and I had to check about 900 objets after some HP, was a nightmare week of work.

Welcome again to the work world.
