    this day would come before valentine's.

    in soviets, we have 23feb as men's day, and 8mar as women's day.
    pretty nice, because gifts and congratulations from men are usually adequate to these from women.

    p.s.23feb is a day of soviet army, and, since there were no special day for men (as 8mar) and soviet army service is obligatory, 23feb became mostly "men's holiday". imho.
