OMG i just can seem to get that bad luck from me... 4TH ATTEMPT to play the tigrous scenario on tabara host and again something went wrong! 1st was the wrong ip after takeoff, second, tabarahost went down, 3rd error on framestart time shedule, 4th , tabra host down! OMG
yeah, i'm disapointed for that bad things, i give up! seriously: TH is great feature and team, but it is not enouth fiability for big events. so what can we do? midway is on route now, if we want good fun, something has to be upgraded in server.if not, many will not trust it anymore and no one would want fly in :/
Server is new. Map is not tested completely as well. But I hope Franz will be able to check logs and see what was incorrect with server... May be launch small event? Like 3 buffs (3x 3x = 9 buffs with drones), 4x cover, 6x interceptors.
it's an idea,we can pick up sometimes pilots in MA and test. but my dream was to see 20/30 b17 and cover flying to tgt in high alt dusk skies.one day....
To dream is possible, I think! It´s a good idea to try small missions after the next event, this can be done. But, I'm sure that THteam will be able to fix the problems until the next attempt. I hope so.
no tigrou, im afraid this dream will never come true, WB graphic engine is an old thing and is unable to display more than 32 objects at same time and during test before redbulls BoB events we had a chance to check that. Over 20 RAF planes and LW bombers and 109/110 cover met in morelike 1 place on map, the engine displayed as much it can and halted. Phantom planes were reported. This cant be change cuz the WB engine would have to be edited... But later on we learned to fly and fight in sall operative groups of 6-10 planes and all went well and was very fun!
that's correct. if tigrou has 31 planes around himself visible, and vought has less, when tigrou appears, vought can see tigrou, but tigrou can't see vought. when vought send a bullet to tigrou, he get the message "you are not at victims database" at FH. it's possible, that the TH-Server crashed, because we had too many planes at the same area.
IMHO drones are taken as any other objects. For player doesnt matter if he see 30 "live" planes or 18 live + 12 drones. 30+ bug has to be prvented in any cases. I apologize TH crashes. I'm crazy to find the reason, and all my debug info about this bug is: Sat Apr 09 19:49:44 2005: Incomming connection from 83.26.3.65 Sat Apr 09 19:49:44 2005: DEBUG: Client added Program received signal SIGPIPE, Broken pipe. 0xffffe002 in ?? () (gdb) neither GDB can give me source line, it doesnt know what happens. Breedr said to me to test TH in other linux server (since this bug never happened in windows plataform) because this can be a hardware bug. Well, I'll make some tests... if its really a hardware bug, I think WB community can understand that all those scenarios could be done at TH if there was not this hardware bug. []'s franz-
