    <S> redz! B-25x~10 F1 attack

I've been patroling over F5 on 5km when I've noticed many grey-metal dots otr and taking off! First think I did was reporting that event to goldiezzz, annoucing them that redddies are making P38 run. Well, what firstly was p38 for me, at 3km became B25 group without escort:) I've engaged and killed 3 of them before i was shut by p47 (haven't noticed it)... got to mention that this 3 kills were made within 30 sec. =] anyway, i'm not writing this to tell u I've shut 3 buffs... I just want to thank redddies for extremly great idea! :@prayer: Too bad they had been noticed and later, when rest of them arrived, goldiez were waiting. Also WTG goes to goldiez for making great deffence (I doubt there were any gold KIA?).

That's what I call warbirdzzz! WTG, next time just take escort and we'll have more fun, both sides! :super:

Can anyone tell me how many b25 were there? Because later, i've shut 3 more = 6 for me... and there were much more of u still...

OHH BTW, I did see ONE big gold raid once.

Maybe 2 camps ago, my squad (JG27) of about 12 Fighters escorted a group of maybe 10 HE177s of GRIFO to a large base or two. Knocked em out, captured both, and i think we mighta gotten one other :)

    Good times had by all!!!

    Hi Big-Jo,

    >well, there r many peolple flying in p47 and i dont remember any b25 raid :D

All the better - I had already made a mental note to demote all LC pilots who let themselves be shot down in such a stupid manner ;-)

Of course, now you don't get the medal for protecting them with your P-47 either! I was about to recommend you for the HC2 (Hot Chocolate 2nd Class).

    Regards,

    Henning (HoHun)

I thought we had something special. But you've thrown it all away with your "hot chocolate" nonsense.

Biggest Gold raid I've been in had something like 35 Ju87's and 20 odd 109E's as escort. It was a while ago and organised if I recall by Fla and Thomba.

I think either Nicaee or Babek have pics of it.

Just this week we tried a carpet-bombing raid on a strategic target. 5 or 6 B25's against a factory. -mengo was flight leader. We flew into enemy territory and stuck close to him. On his count, we dropped our eggs (6 X 250 kg each) together in a salvo.

    My findings:

    1. All planes must stay as close to the flight-leader as possible (right, Redtun? :) ).
    2. All planes must be in level flight when dropping their eggs.
    3. Delay must be increased! We used .delay 100 but I think .delay 150 or 200 increases effectivity. Count with me:
TAS in level flight = around 350 kmph? That's 350.000 meters per hour.
350.000 (m/h) / 3600 (secs/h) = 97.2 m/s. If you use a delay of 0.1 secs (.delay 100) your eggs will fall only 9.72 meters apart. That's quite close together, especially when you're carrying 250 kg or heavier eggs.
    4. The flight leader must give VERY accurate instructions. -mengo did a great job!

Hmmmm.... 35 ju87's and lots of escorts simultaneous? I find that hard to believe. As I remember, the server can't cope with more then 36 planes in one sector, right?

We should try a big-ass HE177 raid someday soon... Tomorrow perhaps?
