Okay. Two musics, both Zappa and co.
Firstly I spent hours and hours to download a torrent mp3 of Hot Rats Vol ?, you know, the one with the creepy picture of the guy in the pool? It has "Peaches En Regalia" on it...
Well, the one I got wasn't the one I used to have. Either it is completely redone, every single fuckin note, or it is one of those "You can hardly tell the difference" recordings, like what we used to get at Woolwarth's in the seventies, with titles like

Sargent Peppar's Lonley harts club banned
    and
    Godbye Yellow Brickroad
    s and you know something?
I don't feel betrayed, because it sounds fantastic.
ANyone know if zappa re-arranged Hot Rats?

Oh, and secondly, look at these: Bebop Tango parts 1 and 2, on some Swedish Television in 1972

    Hehe:
Ever just not looked a thing up when you should have?

    From Wikipedia
    Compact disc variations

In 1987 Zappa remixed Hot Rats for re-issue on compact disc. This caused some conflict between fans who preferred the original 1969 mix on the LP versus those who preferred the remix version. "Willie The Pimp" is edited differently during the introduction and guitar solo. "The Gumbo Variations" has 4 minutes of additional material including an introduction and guitar and saxophone solo sections which were cut from the vinyl. Other differences in the 2 mixes include added piano and flute on "Little Umbrellas" and significant changes to the overall ambiance and dynamic range.
