The planes I am recommend never use at MA/FHL 1.66 on current RPS:

1. Ki27 (slow; poor armament; poor field defender)
2. Fw190f8 (slow; too weak WEP; poor climb; poor manoeuvrability; poor dive; big vator, which collects every hit from acks/cons)
3. Il2 NS-37 (slow; bad armament for ground attacks; good as ackstar only)
4. Ju87G-1 (slow; absolutely useless armament for ground attacks)
5. Mc202, Mig 3 type 1, Bf109T
6. F4F3, F6F3, D520C, FM-2, Me410, B25C, D3A2, Lagg3, Ju87D1, Ju87B2, IL2 prod 1943, Pe3, Mc205, Mig3 type 2, Ju87D5

 

190F8 is very useful ! I protest ! Mc202 is my favourite plane and 109T is the only alternative for zeke for a long time... D520C is superior, Lagg3 is tolerable, Ju87 are only useful buffs if someone disable ju88A1/S from small.
I don't care about rest

IMHO devs should tidy up and delete some planes (for example f4f3/fm-2 and ki27) and add some new (I heard about plane limit, so there would be no excuse after deletion). I don't care if it will be Yak-7, La-9, Re2001 or Me163, I want fresh air

There are plenty of planes to add, we could add early 109, delay 109E, delaying also spit to make hurri more usable, we can add a5m etc. to enhace early war experience.
Italian Re.2001, MC.200, S.A.I.403 or CR.32 are waiting. To add variety, there is 2 engined Ki-46 or 45. Russian yak-7, MiG-1, LaGG-1 are also good choices.

Imho worst fighters:
-N1K-can be outmanuevered by spitfire easily, no speed, no power, only good guns with bad aiming
-mossie VI-no view, gunner doesn't call cons like in Beau, bugged ordance counting(gun and cannon indicator inverted), bugged otto manipulation, average duriability, but not enough for so big plane
-ki27-useless
-hurri I-it could be availble from CV like sea hurricane, we have non CV n1k and G4M at CVs so why not seahurri?
-A6M5 variants-so heavy, no chance against spits
-yak 1-no goodie, 109F outperform it at all aspects
-me410-ottos are really bad(the older FH has really dangerous ottos, the way could be somewhere in the middle)
-mc202-i dunno how fly with this plane

On the other side:
D520 is good plane, it is agile and it have hispano with enough rounds to shot down 20-25x109
F4F isnt bad in pairs or groups, duriable, good armed
spit V isnt so bad plane compared to other types in 1941
Yak9 is good for me, i like it, agile and fast.
Yak 3 is great plane, but not in 1944, where all planes are specialised on dive characteristics
lagg is good

 

I can only play with Ki61, any Zero or 190. The rest all sux one way or another (For me). I take Ki27 sometimes for field defense (Manouvering and making the reds lose time - until they kill me invariably).

Ki-43 is porked now, it cant outturn anything (you need to go so slow to be really manouverable that you are dangereously near stall speed and the stall is very awnfull).

Ki-44 have no use.

Me410 ottos are blind, just like most Gold ottos (Of course, we are meant to be targets for developers pleasure, not players with real chances to win).

The general game balance is flawed, just look at the number of available gold planes x red planes. Sorry to repeat that AGAIN. I hope someday reds will get tired of win and agree to give us any real chance (Just look at the number of RED resets x GOLDS)

Fuselage is transparent in 2/3 too
Aim the tail wheel - the only solid metal part!

 

ki-44 is very good plane, very fast.

Never go HO vs i153, even in me262, you will be pwnzor3d and pk'ed

 

1) The number of planes available to either side has fuck all to do with their modeling.
2) Ki-43 can't out turn anything? Erm ... yeah .... right, whatever.
3) Since the 109 and the Ki-84 weren't included in your list I assume these are hopelessly outclassed by all red fighters, too?

 

I think next TOD I'll fly gold (mostly) to check out some of these horribly undermodeled gold planes in combat. Items on my shopping list:

Ki-61
Ki-84
Me-110
Me-410
Zeke

Seeing as these are all miserable planes it stands to reason that I will have a much harder time than when flying red.

 

if its still got the shakes. n1k1 is definatly worse plane it was unflieable when i left.

other wise ki27. wings rip so easily. 2 7mms that arnt shvak are jokes. and i even have lost both alies to 1 7mm in it.

but still its fun to take up and dodge with durring field defences. it can ussaly down a li2 b4 its ottos eatit up. and when u kill a red turnfighting some one else whos not paying u anymind since they have no respect for your plane its kind of satisfing,
but its most ussless plane in game. if room was a issue this should be first plane dropped to add a new plane to gold airforce.

Ki43 eats spits V, p40, p39 and so and so. It's fast enought, climbs good and turns very good.

Ki44 in now my favourite gold plane. Only disadvantage is ammo amount, could be more. But plane is fast, accelerates good, turns like 109G, but is handling better.


Worst red plane - P38. It's good only for cv strikes with 2x1000lbs. But it is slow, turns like shit and is fragile. Mig3 is also piece of shit when you fly low.

Worst gold plane... Ki27 is biggest bullshit in the world, it doens't deserve to be called fighter, it's fuckin mail-delivery-plane, but you have to send birthdate card one year ealier to get it on time, it's so slow.And don't forget to avoid pigeons - pigeon's shit could rip your wing.

 

Sorry but you don't know what you're talking about. The P-38 is definitely not slow. Up until very late in the war when golds get the Me109K, Fw-190 D9 and Ki-84, the P-38 can keep up with or even outrun the opposition.
And the Lightning does most definitely __NOT__ turn like shit. Sure, it won't turn like a Spit, but it turns arguably much better than the 190 and still better than some of the heavier 109 variants. What's more, if the fight degrades to airspeeds of less than 160/170 mph (where it can fully deploy its flaps), a Lightning can even give a Ki-84 a run for its money.

And I wouldn't even say it's overly fragile. Unless you get Pk'd or get your elevator shot off while low and slow, the P-38 can usually take a lot of damage and still get you home. IMO P-38 is one of THE most capable fighters in the game.
Just watch out for those 110s ... lmao
