The new corvette prototype has 700+ HP Stock! Are you sure you still want that m3?

About Americans liking HP instead of economy: These cars are very expensive and therefore not affordable to most people. There are a LOT of economic cars, they're just not famous. Here where I live (Texas), people seem to have something for BIG trucks. I think they're trying to compensate for something :D
But seriously... I think they think that having big trucks gives them social status or something like that. I guess they're just not my thing... I like small cars Or a good ol' vette!

If U guys start discussion about dreem-cars, I must say my word :

    or this : [IMG]

From the begining of my interest to cars, I found beautiful cars designed by Italian grops, porehemplo Pinenforino. I read somewhere, that VW Golf was designed with slogan "moving sculpture".

    Ad some figures:

    Engine 18 cylindres en W, 2 x 60°
    Capacity: 6255 cm3
    Bore x stroke 76,5 x 75,6 mm
    Compression 11,5 : 1
    Max Power 555 hp (408 kW) at 6800 tr/min
    max Torque 650 Nm at 4000 tr/min
    Engine weight 315 kg

And that's not even the performance version ;) the performance version is the 1001hp thingy... 8000cc tho

And xlife, the C5R isn't a regular vette, it's a touring car, it's like comparing a bike to a motorcycle... your bro's E-300 would be the CLK-DTM or CLK-GTR... both touring cars too,

someone knows if GT3 can be modified for PC? ;)

Same here. All the newly rich (=hitmen&thiefs in common sense) are driving big trucks.

LOL thomba! The 2nd is Ifa - we have a lot of them here.

    *****

My father`s car is also Lada 1500 (that`s the volume of the engine AFAIK), not Niva but 2108. Unfortunately dont have scanned pics of it. It still looks like new although it`s older than me.

    *****

I support niles. I won`t get driver license either (despite my father`s pushing - he is afraid there wont be someone to drive the Lada after he dies).

In a country with well-organized public transport the problems a car causes (1st of them is to know all those new models coming out, to dream for them, specs, etc. :p) are much more than it solves.

Moreover I simply LOVE to travel with trolleybuses (cable-cars or whatever it is in english) - the first qualification whether I like some city is if it has many of them. :D I also enjoy a lot trains.

    Both are non-polluting vehicles.

Depending on the circumstances for your transportation does make your mind free. Similar to not wearing a watch (i didnt have one until 2 years ago). It is sort of Tao enjoyment of life when you dont know (nor care!) when you will arrive.

    The same goes for cell-phones.

Yes, there are many immigrants to US and they say the same. Being so lazy (in terms I hate to do something i do not find important/useful) this is one more reason to be happy i`m not there. :D

Well, this my truck :) Old, badass, brazilian Chevrolet (GM), deep blue with lots of chrome, 151 hp, straight - 6, 4.3L (4289cc), 3-gear straight transmission on driving wheel, tinted windows, all original. Original paint job and I'm the 2nd owner. Nope, it's not for sale at all :D But I just love it.

It's tough. The oldman I bought it from had knocked off a light pole and all that it took was a little fix on the front bumper and chrome it again. Didn't even crack the headlight! :super:

This is not an actual picture of mine, will post it as soon as I get them developed (it might take a while, I'm sometimes lazy for this sort of thing).

I used to drive a burgundy 1984 El Camino in the US with a 250hp engine... that thing was meeeeean :D Now I got myself this 1976 Chevy truck I commented on another post... it's actually an Opel model that was produced for a while in Brazil AFAIK.

Finally here are the pictures :) I call her Zoraide but other Grifos call it "the Ju52" :D It kinda fits that nickname :dura:
