Exec doesn't mean to be rude, one just has to have "zenish" state of mind when dealing with him :D (forum moderating does that to person...)

Apparently you aren't the only one having trouble with Vista and Warbirds.
I tried to google the subject but only thing I found was some vague things about "be the administrator..."

I can't help more than that. You'll have to wait until the "polish legion of cheater hackers nerdlingers" meet the problem and let them solve it...

    [edit: tried this one yet?

    "
    My older games won't run.

Most games written for earlier versions of Windows also work in this version of Windows, but some older games might run poorly or not at all. If an older game doesn't run correctly, use the Program Compatibility Wizard, which will simulate an earlier version of Windows.

    ?

Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Use an older program with this version of Windows."

    [edit2]
Lookie from http://agw.bombs-away.net/showthread.php?t=63098&highlight=vista forum too .

Maybe it's the processor overheat thingie again? WB2 apparently runs on processor, not on graph card....

Get a beer, re-install xp and enjoy flying... :fly2:

I thought that the "transition effects" thingie crashes back to desktop. There was a post somewhere stating that in Vista keyboard doesn't work and (yadiyadiyaa) something else....

But hey, XP/Vista, suits me if they have same faults :D

    :p

    [edit: @gursah:

"1. I use Windows 2000/Windows XP and WB in 3D mode but the game crashes when I switch planes.

If you are running Windows 2000 and want to be able to play in 3D you will probably need to remove a tick from "Display properties>Effects>Use transition effects for menus and tooltips", otherwise WB may crash when you change the plane."
