You just have to fly in formation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111

Im sure that we would find funnier FH is everyone fly with other like wingman for example. Im not talking about raids, only find a fucking wingman or a leader and stay with him! Later you enemies will do the same to be able to win you!!

To do this the simplest method is stay close to the first fucker you see around you, and remember dont turn 180º if you have a contact in your 6, only drag to one side, else it will be other quaker fight and both will die.

I would have orgams if i see enemies doing the easiest defesinve maneuver in combat flights: the wheel.......

pass the message ( like in that stupid SMS .....) :kruto:

BTW: And grab altitud!!! Im tired of morons at low altitud.

and i'm tired of seeing idiots who go to die in acks, when bombing a big field from 1km altitude in a level bomber, just to kill 2 acks.
buff pilots get nothing if they have big streaks. no buff ace top, no medals, nothing. only top scorers list rewarding also the ones who stay online more time. although for some it might be bullshit, i bet that medals and a top ace for buffs would convince some quakers to try everything to survive, like calling for cover, flying formation or taking evasive maneuvers when seeing con.

    devs?

    (puta, cool post)

If we had NOICON games, you would then see formations all the time. Players would act and react a lot more like fliers in real life did. I don't want noicon games and only for gaming reasons, not realism. Realism wouldn't be as much fun.

You won't be able to tell if two guys are in formation. Often, 'in formation' in this game, means 'coordinating.'

It is a lot of fun to fly as a group, within visual range of each other. It looks good.
But you can be spread out a lot farther and still be in support of one another. I don't think we need to stay as close together as in real life for various reasons.

Teamwork is good and will improve a player's lot, but it won't always be obvious to the nme. Okay, attacking someone and then having a member of that con's squad chase you off is a pretty obvious coordination, squad members often drag cons to their squaddies. And this is why noobs join squads. Bacause the level of coordination of squads often means a higher survivability for a player. Formations offer many of the same benefits, IF you are in a noicons game. Which we aren't.

I bet if we had 1000 player games as the norm, we would see a LOT of formed units.

i'm not a developer, but i can change the arena settings for a week to a tod with only 4 big fields in the four map corners.
    with radar on all altitutes.
with radar-range from one map-corner to the other.
    with high-altitute-air start.
    with reuptime of 60 seconds.
    with ack-range of 0 feet.
with fuel-divisor to fly 3 hours.

maybe you dont capture fields at all.
but there is not much use for hmacks and ack-runner.
instead you need good radar-operator and teamplay.

to capture a field in 60sec you need many buffs to close in one pass.
to get the buffs through the radar you need very much cover.

talkin about the yesterday raid? :p
    yes yes... was outstanding :)

ive been thinkin about shortening times too btw
one third would be hard enough imo but still possible

even small would need good cooperation
mb a poll? short times would be fun imo

    How about making it REALISTIC:
    radar has only lower limit,
    radar range limited,
    normal takeoff,
    standard reup times,
    standard ack range,
    realistic hmack dmg,
    fuel devisor 1.

I know it is unthinkable by Admins, but well... try harder, maybe you will make it eventualy.

another solution would be to have more often maps with big distances between fields, like big med and new guinea, so a death would be more costly in terms of time needed to get to the area of the action again. imo, the gamplay is much better in big med than in other maps.
i'd also set the max alt radar range as infinite.

    You forgot the JU-jockey.
Scared him half to death you did as well, when cons came to F3 :D

But it was a REALLY NICE raid. Even if I did not make it back from F2 in one piece.:super:

There ratio of golds to reds was, um, high, was it not?
I think I was there, underneath that raid. There was a snoopy down there, low low. The guy low down watched for a bit and said something like 'well done golds f3!' right?
The squad my favorite nick belongs to tries a big raid every so often, sort of like what you guys did. Idea being to plaster a target a drop troops very quickly and capture it very quickly. Sometimes we find a perfectly placed 190 5000 feet higher than and directly in perect guns pass vector right over our buff gaggle and another perfectly placed right next to our Li.
...and watch as our buffs and Li are hunted like dogs.
I don't think we did it with 9 planes, I think we do with 6 or so.
    Sometimes it works.
Sometimes, the miracle of 'what the fuck? How the fuck did that 190 find our Li?' will be exclaimed over the teamspeak channels as we watch, in dismay, as our remaining buffs are shot, one after the other and we go out with a poof.

Goldies who did that raid; I thought it was wonderful to watch while I could. I am glad no red bastard did a '/.attach' on a cheatwhim and figured out what was up and started screaming. Maybe there weren't enough reds online for a cheating bastard like that to get away with it unnoticed.

The other day, myself and another fine player [well, HE is a fine player] were cruising nice and high on a hunt. We received a message on channel 101 identifying two planes inbound at a certain location and heading. The guy had not been online for longer than a minute when he broadcasted that message.
My section leader and I decided to ignore the broadcast and continue searching. We did, eventually see a couple bogies and had a fight. I can't remember the results of the fight. But we were both pretty pissed off at the guy who told us where to locate that little flock of planes with players who were trying to have some fun.
The guy who told us the stuff is now Personna Non Grata in our little group.

I am glad big raids work out sometimes and I think they would work out well a LOT more often without that fuckin cheat host command

with proper cover, attach command doesn't even matter. i, for one, don't agree with stealth raids if they are done over radar's max limit (under radar's range it's something else). i'd like cons to attack the bombers i'm protecting, just like IRL, so u have to employ cover tactics and make the game more complex.
going alone in a stealth b24 or he177 and closing a big field, no matter how much skill it demands, is not really ww2'ish after all.
