Yes, i´m poor. Btw, at least i got a personal choffeur every day and i dont have to spend time/patience/money looking for a parking area...
Well, actually im not that poor... Just took some pics of my father´s car, a Peugeot 206 Rallye 1.6. I got to beg him to borrow me his car, no wonder why... Maybe because of my nickname in the neighborhood: "heavy feet"...

A! From an American source I'd heard that Brasil had achieved almost 100% independence from foreign oil, due to wide adoption of primarily ethanol-based fuels, originating from grasses and such. So I have been misled again, it seems, by my sources! But even so, surely you guys aren't as dependent upon foreign sources of oil as we? We need to import ~ 60%, a great source of vulnerability, and each year our production declines, due to declining local sources and a strange and suicidal reluctance to open new fields to exploration. Eesh, this incredible and unspoken, so tenuous reliance upon foreign sources for crude oil boggles the mind. Someday soon we are going to suffer. BTW, can you please speak to Chavez on our behalf?

hi vasco, i made test flights last month, so i no got full data, some spec: name :EFIL 01 full weigth 265kg surface 11m² engine: 2 stroke; 40hp Toff speed 80km/h cruise: 110 km/h climb rate: 500ft/min @ 90km/h stall speed: will see next time ( around 60km/h i guess ) max speed: will not go farther than 120km/h i'm not a pro test pilot the plane is made only to "walk around" my place, in very good weather conditions i made several small flights above rnw before go for a real flight, to see if the plane would handle correctly. the experience of a test flight is wonderfull, was no fear (exept some in my bed the night before the big day ) but many concentration and thinking at what to do in every case of problem. btw i got a rocket rescue system if the worst hapens .
yes it is an home made prototype of ultralight, conception with help of an old airplane enginer; total materials cost is about 12 000 euros for 5 year = 2500euros per year, can be cheaper but in a proto u spend more for useless tries. i had 40% of the cost given by french governement (kind of support of young's project) and by Aeroclub de France, so it cost to me 1500euro /year. this is my first projet and i plan to do an other one more simple and lighter, just for fun fly
LOL! And this one is mine: 150kph with wind to it's back, air conditioning, 3 synth leather covered seats and bed on wheels, stereo system and lots of useful toys at the back. LOL If I'm not in the above I'm usually driving my GF's clio 1.2 like this one: or ruining myself financially in this one:
Actually, that puggy would be able to run on mix of unleaded and ethanol. If not totally on E85 or above, you got those kits from Brasil, Flextek, that easily allows you to run on either gas or ethanol. Unless you just make trial and error until you find the mix right for your car Don't you have quite a few mixes in Brasil? E10, E20 and so on? Since the ethanol has higher octane you could benefit from it, and it also runs cooler which would be nice in your climate I guess. I dare not go higher than the current percentage during winter, it can suddenly go boom! minus 20 celsius Then I'd have to walk to work. Guess what: not happening, I'm too fat and lazy to walk 22km only to work for 10 hours and then walk back
